This will sure be exciting in the next couple of months of anticipation and nervousness. he hehe. I'll probably have more fun watching system wars then actually playing the game, which I can't because I don't have a PS3.

Metal Gear Solid 1 had over 6 million copies sold, I think it was around 7 million? Same with Metal Gear Solid 2, and Metal Gear Solid 3 sold about 4 million copies.

This is why Metal Gear Solid 4 sold good, because it has a strong and supportive fan base behind it, it was a well established franchise from the beginning.

Killzone 1 sold over 2 million copies, and Killzone: Liberation I don't know, a good estimate would be around 400, 000 - 500, 000, (VG Chartz has it at 240, 000 for America only, the game can't be over 1 million).

I see a highly unlikely chance Killzone 2 will sell well, it's going to be a very good game, though! Sadly, if the sales do not even touch that of Halo 3's, the media will probably call Killzone 2 a flop, little do they know.

There is no real-world hype, established fanbase or lack of that genre, how can they expect this? They also have the smallest install base, MGS4 was a game bought out of loyalty more than anything, MGS has a really hardcore fanbase and has done for years. thegoldenpoo
