All the criticism Sony and the PS3 recieved this year will completely disappear

next year. High price tag, lack of great games, bad marketing etc. In fact Sony is now showing signs of improvement which is a good thing when going into this holiday season.

I'm sure everyone will have a different attitude towards the PS3 next year, Sony will set everything right and will be at better position then they are this year. Since I'm not a fanboy I will admit the 360 did great this year and had great games out like Halo 3 and Bioshock, Wii has done phenomenal as it has achieved sales which not even the PS2 managed to do in it's first year. PS3 struggled alot this yearbut my god you can't deny that no matter how much you lot kicked PS3 down it just kept on fighting back. PS3 sold like 6 million in its first year with fierce competition and without it's key franchises. PS3 is only now gaining momentum and it will continue through next year. I have no doubt that Sony can reach there goal of 11 million by the end of this fiscal year which ends March 08.

Next year every console would have had time to finally show what their made of (especially 360). Yep I feel pretty damn confident about PS3 next year, I can tell you one thing though, System wars is going to be a hell of a different place by end of 08.

I agree. In fact, I predict that, by the end '08, most of the lemmings here will own a PS3. The '08 lineup of games for the PS3 and then into early '09 is nothing short of incredible. And at $399, for all you get, if you are a true gamer, you'd be crazy not to get a PS3.Jared2720

The PS3 will always get crap because Greatness is expected of this system. As for the Wii and the 360, the media just needs it not to suck like last gen for it to be a success. I do believe that the PS3s sales will get closer and closer to the 360s totals and the MS fans will have less to complain about but the beauty of the fanboy is that logic is nonexistant. So you will see plenty of bash threads, they will just have less credibility.

Uhmmm...the PS2 crushed everyone in sales, has the single best game library of all time and that didn't stop people from criticising it just as much as they are criticising the PS3 now. So no...no matter WHAT happens, fanboys will be fanboys.ZIMdoom

In the PS2 era, cows dominated System Wars. Now that the 360 has the best game lineup and the Wii has the best sales, cows are the underdogs here.

MGS4, FFXIII, LittleBigPlanet, GT5, Haze, Uncharted(this year). We will see next year what happens. I hope it all goes to plan for the PS3. ;)

Hmm, how about over-focused on graphics and format, high price, bad games, few reasons to buy it over the 360, ripping off the Wii, how about those? And I recall quite a lot of hype for Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Lair, Ratchet & Clank, Warhawk and many other games, and those all flopped (especially Lair).
