Listening to the lastest giantbomb podcast(WARNING, MAY CONTAIN SOME ME2 SPOILERS)

Almost as bad as bullshots i guess...

Unsurprising, but I'm getting the PC version so it doesn't bother me at all.

Well, yeah...What version would you display if you were EA and Bioware?

Which version will help sell the game, and show off?

I would have assumed everyone already was aware of that...however, the 360 version should look good in it's own right.:)

Well i assumed it was 360 as you could see X, Y, B, A buttons on screen, but i guess they were just playing the PC version with a 360 controller then.

Its more his statement that on 360 it looks "the same" as the first apart from with no texture pop-in issues, i thought this was going to be one of 360's best looking games :?

I would hope they are releasing their trailers with the best possible footage...it is a PC game as well afterall. It's not like they are showing CG footage and telling us it's gameplay...Killzone 2!

The PC version of Mass Effect 2 will still be superior, but that's not a knock on the 360 version. That version will look just dandy guys.

Yeah, I sure did...and I spanked the competition big time. It was all due to so many good posters we have here at GS, I will have to blog it soon. :)

Dont get me wrong, I have met a lot of great people here at Gamespot, and I have a lot of friends, however, there are a few that I don't understand.

I don't get why there is anybody (a minorty of users) out there that despises internet folks (like me or anyone here). It's not like I'm hacking accounts, spamming computers, releasing virus', taking lunch money, etc.. I think those people that really get that upset need to take a break from the internet.

There are real life people, real life bullies, real life problems out there...I will never comprehend these emotional internet people. I have been through a LOT in my personal life that I will never get some of these emo types. I think people that believe or want to believe rumors should just ask instead of believing. I mean, I have never hurt anyone here, or tried any malicious moves, nor have I deleted threads, etc. It's a shame some folks are stuck like that. They make it impossible to talk with them, and rather hide in the shadows. It's like High School all over again, with some guys really hatin' for no reason at the Quarterback, etc. All I can say is that it's 2010, PM people and settle anything, and if it's not an issue, just let it go. No point in harboring some sort of grudge, especially when there are not problems in the first place.

It's a NEW YEAR guys, make it one of your resolutions if you have to, but just let any misplaced hate go.

I will make a blog soon. Thanks for the congrats Giancar. :P

------------

Regarding Mass Effect 2:

Yeah, like I said Animal Mother, the 360 version of ME2 is still going to look fine.:)

When they showed gameplay footage on G4, you could clearly see at one point that the guy playing the game was playing it on a 360; you could even see the actual 360 system and controller in the shot. Unless the console was just there to deceive and there was a PC somewhere behind the scenes. If that were to be the case, I wouldn't support Bioware trying such trickery on their fanbase.

I wouldn't care if the visuals were just a tad better on the 360, its all about the gameplay and ME2 has it in spades. I can't wait for this one.

that means nothing...many PC games will autoswitch interfaces if a controler is plugged in.

The Brink developers for example...confirmed that all the Brink footage came from the PC, despite the 360 interface being shown.

again..that doesnt mean very much. In many PC games the interface swaps depending on what is being used.

Again, going back to brink. That was shown with the 360 interface, and the developers later confirmed it was the PC version being played.

Why the double post? Anyway, Mass Effect 1 didn't have game-pad support considering that, I'd say that the game we've been seeing is 360.

I have played several game for windows that support the 360 controller and they will either have a 360 interface, or a PC one I have never seen both, and Brink is an unreleased game so its a poor example.

the first was visually pretty shoddy on the 360 and affected the quality of the gameplay with the slow down and the immersion with all the pop in. on the pc it was a completely different story, far superior and more polished. since its a dual release ill be buying it for the pc anyway but id be disappointed if the problems of the first game on the 360 werent significantly improved in the sequel

I wouldn't mind even if it looked exactlylike Mass Effect 1. I'm happy as long as bioware reduce texture pop, load times and iron out the framerate problems.

Isn't a big surprise and I don't care. Bioware's strenght lies elsewhere than in pretty graphics.

I seriously doubt all of it is.

http://meforums.bioware.com/forums/viewtopic.html?topic=710074&forum=144&sp=135

That's a Bioware employee stating that Mass Effect 2 on the PC does not support gamepads. So chance are, if you say an Xbox interface or if they were playing with an Xbox 360 controller, they were actually playing it on the Xbox. I just think that the guys over at Giant Bomb don't always know what they are talking about :P

It's not like the original game had crap graphics. That's a myth that should have been debunked as soon as ME1 hit store shelves.

The footage I have seen from the game was from the PC version. You could tell by seeing the hot keys bar in the upper left corner.

There's been quite a bit of both the 360 and PC version. Usually really mixed up however in one video.
