Sim racing games =/= arcade racing games.bleehumI think that's exactly his point (that arcade > sims).
Split Second should be replaced with Blur IMO. Anyway, just because you prefer arcade style racing games doesn't mean that sim ones don't matter/aren't importiant. Some people , including myself, prefer sims over arcade. (shocking, I know. ) And that doesn't mean I don't like arcade style games either. I grew up playing the original Burnout game so I will always have a spot for some good old over the top racing fun.

GT is the better series obviously. And PC sims are too boring (except maybe Live For Speed).
Ironbash
GT went downhill since GT3, Forza's only gone upwards and that trend looks to continue into Forza 4
GT = AA series
Forza = AAA series

Too bad Forza is so sterile and dull then :P
it is pointless cause mariokart wii
gt pro series wii
pgr 4
grid
race pro
nascar 2011
dirt 2
and in some cases f1 ce has been fun to play! theres others but man the debate of which game ?which console is also pointless , all 3 have awsome games and thats all that matters !

So what. GT series sold over 63 million and moved consoles while Forza hasn't sold even 10 million. Only US guys think Forza is better while the Japanese and Europeans all know what's the real deal :P

so wii sports > all ?Compared to Kinect Sports and Move Sports (or whatever) it seems it's more trustworthy yes :P
Call of Duty has sold how many units? Is Call of Duty the greatest franchise out there? So what. GT series sold over 63 million and moved consoles while Forza hasn't sold even 10 million.nameless12345
]Call of Duty has sold how many units? Is Call of Duty the greatest franchise out there?Stevo_the_gamerBetter than Portal, at least.

oh yeah. I forgot about blur. I will add it as well
Sales =/= quality, GT is woefully inconsistent in graphics, and a horrible game, essentially a grindfest with some pretty menus. So what. GT series sold over 63 million and moved consoles while Forza hasn't sold even 10 million. Only US guys think Forza is better while the Japanese and Europeans all know what's the real deal :P

No I want a CHALLENGE when I play a racing game. Otherwise it's BORING, like all those games you posted.PS2_ROCKSGuess GT's off the list, it's ai provides ~ 0 challenge :D

This European thinks Forza is better.Forza does some things better, GT does other things better.
Both are great. If you can enjoy one, you can enjoy the other.
Arcade racing sucks, Forza>GT (I don't own an xbox...)InconsistancyI enjoy arcade racing, but sim racing is fun too. I own both PS and XBox and GT > Forza.

Funny since I'm from the UK and currently prefer the Forza series.Split Second was ok...But I really hated that the game swiped control out of your hands to crash way too often(it sometimes felt like someone grabbed the wheel from you and forced you to crash) and the multiplayer while fun was a bit anemic. Cool concept though.
Blur was aces. I had soo much fun with that game. It was one of the few games where you still had a great time even if you lost.It was always giving you something.
I don't like Motorstorm at all. It looks good but the cars are way too floaty. I hate racers where your car feels like it's made of paper and weighs even less.
Dirt 2 was pretty good and looks freaking phenom.
I was really anticipating Hot Pursuit. Criterion is on the short list of my favorite devs, but I found myself really disliking it.
Mario Kart Wii. I don't own a Wii anymore but I might pick another one up since the price is dropping. Even so I have no interest.
Pure. Meh.
I'm on the fence between arcades and sims I love both GT5 and Forza but I'm not against having some fun..I liked Burnout Paradise(The coop in that game was phenomenal)and Blur more than all of these games though.
What's the point when we can enjoy these games instead of arguing it. Though I really was dissapointed with GT5
[QUOTE="bleehum"]Sim racing games =/= arcade racing games.IronBassI think that's exactly his point (that arcade > sims). Then why only target Forza and GT?
Blur is a great game, it saddens me that Activision didn't give it enough publicity.
However Forza is still my favourite racing series.
GT series used to be my favourite till they released GT5, such a sloppy game for something that has had more time and money than it deserves.
Next on tonights show we compare wii sports to unchartedIronbashWiiSports!
Then why only target Forza and GT?ScarfaceNYBecause they're compared a lot in SW since both are flagship exclusives (hence the "vs" in the title).
Forza does some things better, GT does other things better.

I agree 100% with you on this. Thats why I have both and enjoy both games. You're really short changing yourself if you can't enjoy both games.
