BIOSHOCK looks like a vary interesting and creative game, and if I had a 360 id be excited. But unfortunatly know one knows what to really expect from this game because its a new title and its hard to say if its going to be a AAA, at this point i think it will be above an 8 for sure but only time will tell what it will be exactly. As for FFXIII we know what to expect it will be above an 8.5 and a great game as always and you really cant campare these games because they are 2 really differant and great looking games.

FFXII already got 9/10.

If you're talking about FFXIII...who's comparing that to Bioshock? Completely different genres and we barely have any info about FFXIII.

Massive typos FTL. if you're gonna tell people you're tired of them comparing two games at least get the names right. its freakin FFXIII. it'd be ok if you only made the mistake once but the fact that you made the same typo twice suggests that you are seriously a game behind in the series.

You can't really compare those. Bioshock is hard to compare to anything atm, nothing quite like it, maybe some older games like System Shock and Deus Ex. FFXIII could probably be compared with Lost Odyssey, but even JRPGs can be very different these days.

not only is this thread really random, its also inaccurate.

its a spiritual successor to system shock 2 so we DO know what to expect from it.

Are you talking about FFXIII? And why compared them when they are different from each other.

Bioshock is being talked about as potentially being better than literally every other game ever made, its that good looking, FFXII (or XIII, which is what you probably meant)is small potatoes compared to the games Bioshock is being compared to.

What the hell? The two aren't even in the same genre.

EDITEDIT: Who's comparing anyways?

System Shock 1 and 2 were games with a lot of critical praise but low sales. They can pretty much be labeled cult games now. I see Bioshock being no different.

What, people are not allowed to have opinions that are different from your own? Sometimes you can just tell how much you are going to like a game, and Bioshock I think easily falls into this category for most of the folks who are hyping it so much. I know that as far as my tastes in games go, I would personally prefer Bioshock, because the type of game that it is just appeals to me more. But I am looking forward to FFXIII as well on PS3.

Anyway, why does it bother you so much that other people might like another game more than Final Fantasy anyway? What do you care?:|

No it will be very different. Any decent looking "exclusive" on 360 gets tons of attention and sales from the well informed, rich, rabid fan base. You think Oblivion would've done so well had it been PC only?

From everything i've seen of Bioshock, it'll be a solid AAA game. I've seen developer interviews, I've seen every trailer, and I can honestly say that it will be an awesome adventure FPS. More action-oriented than SS2 though, kinda a negative for me. They don't even have a real inventory for Bioshock.

Nobody knows what to expect? I think if you've played System Shock you have a pretty good idea...

Bioshock is the spiritual sequel to System Shock.....not a completely new game. It is similar in a number of ways, only holding a more unique setting.

Straw man threads are bad TC.

They can't even be compared. I wonder why people come up with imaginary 'others' in their arguements.

Where have you seen these comparisons? I have honestly never seen anyone compare these 2 completely different games. I've seen Mass Effect vs. Bioshock comparisons (both fall under an RPG-shooter hybrid), and I've seen it compared to The Darkness (shooter with powers), but comparing it to a turn-based JRPG is simply madness.

I think The Darkness > Bioshock. Both will get AAA though.

The Darkness is more than a shooter with powers. Its an twisted open worlded shooter based of The Darkness comic in which its set up like an RPG with a quest log withotut stats in which you partake in... ill stop, its the same kind of game as riddick but taken to next gen, slightly altered, and based on the darkness.
