I know you have to be level 10 to make a topic, but I post a lot and have been here a long time, so I deserve to be level 10, so I'm posting this.
Video games do not consume the whole of everyone's lives, contrary to popular belief here. People flaunt their le superior PC titles like Starcraft 2 and act like it requires a higher level of thinking and long-term satisfaction. No, the video games you play mean NOTHING.
Working out and establishing relationships with actual people are something that would follow along the idea of long-term gratification. You guys play these intellectually stimulated games as if that makes you a better person. Going to the gym everyday and eating good food at the right time is a long process that takes very long to see results. That is long-term satisfaction, not your stupid video games (again, this does not consume everyone elses' lives).
So when you're demonstrating your superiority next time, just remember that drinking mountain dew and eating doritos while sitting on your ass playing a game with a bunch of other basement-dwellers, contributing nothing to society, does not make you part of a master race. It makes you someone who is solely interested in instant-gratification who likes to delude themselves of supposed superiority because the only comparison they can make involves video games due to an unhealthy obsession.
The "idiots" who play Call of Duty will spend many rigorous hours trying to build up strength, sacrificing their time and junk food for something that is not at all fun for something rewarding. Video games are only about fun, so if you're playing them to demonstrate your intelligence, you're a ****ing pretentious idiot with a pathetic life.
