Am I making a mistake?

Go ahead and grab a xbox360, now is a great time to get one. There are TONS of great games already out and more to come.

Some fun games to play with others - Crackdown2, Halo Reach, Gears2, Left4Dead2, NBA2k11 etc..

Some fun singleplayer games = Kameo, Lost Odyssey, Halo Reach, Forza3 and Alan Wake

I own a PC, 360 and ps3 and I do use my PC hte most, but I do have alot of fun with my 360 and ps3 also.

I own a gaming PC, PS3, Wii and 360 and not once have I regretted buying a 360 (to the best of my knowledge). I still play plenty of games for it.

The games are good, Xbox Live is a good online service, so why not?

It's a trap!!! now seriously, if you have the money to buy the 360 and he's willing to pay for your live, then I don't see why you wouldn't pick it up.

Stop bugging the guy because his friend's getting him XBL.

@TC: Yes, it is worth it. The 360 has a huge amount of online games and several exclusives that someone who's only getting the console now will be able to enjoy. That, and XBL and XBLA/XBLIG are great services that you'd be harming yourself to skip on.

I don't think its weird. I've bought multiple games for my gaming buddies and have them it shipped to them through Amazon. Their families are going through a tough time financially and can't afford games when they come out all the time. Since I normally play with the same 2 guys all the time, I've bought them games so we could all play together. It raises my enjoyment of the game since I don't have to play it alone.

no dont waist ur money...stick to pc/ps3 ultimate combo i dont even touch my 360 and live is worth absolutely NO MONEY even if ur friend is playing... make THEM get a gaming PC / ps3campzor

I wish I had your friends. Yeah, it is a great console, especially when you have friends to play with. Make sure you get a mic as well (or get your friend to buy one for you).

I'll be honest. The 360 has a decent amount of games. That said, they might be on your PS3 or PC already. If you don't have a lot of games that are on the 360 then it's a good buy, but I don't think there are a lot of great exclusives.

It seems the PS3 is picking up momentum and the 360 has lost a lot of luster for me.

What is so odd about a friend paying for a Live subscription? A while after I sold my launch 360 an out of state friend of mine bought me an elite just so I'd play the occasional online game with him from time to time. Hell, when MGS3 Subsistence came out I bought my own copy along with 3 extras for some friends of mine.

Grow up, get a real job and stuff like this becomes chump change.

Anyways, I don't think its a mistake at all TC. Honestly, the 360 is my least favorite platform, but it is still a great platform nonetheless. Plenty of great titles and XBLA is beast! Some of my favorite games this gen have been cheap arcade downloads. And if you're really into online gaming then there is nothing better than playing with your real friends.

So I've been a PC+PS3 gamer and my best friend been bugging me to get an XBOX 360 so we can play together and couple other real life friend, I didn't want to get xbox live and he said he is going to pay for my live account, is it a mistake to get into xbox at this time around? I was thinking since there are 4-5 ppl that I know on xbox I'll use my ps3 for it's great exclusives and my xbox and PC for everything else,please share your opinions with me...Siamak8286

Playing with friends makes the experience much better imo. I'd say do it.

I have 4 Xbox360s and I'm lending one of them to my friend so we can play as a team in games like Halo Reach, Transformers, and occasional bouts of Street Fighter 4 and Tekken 6.

being a multiconsole owner is not a mistake.

if anything I foresee that multiconsole owners will become the majority the longer this generation goes.

if the answer is yes then surely the more devices you have to play these games the better, this it why own all the consoles.
