Those were stylistic choices, it adds a cinematic feel to the game.

Kratos is on a healthy diet of babies and kittens, with the occasional puppy for a midnight snack. Sources close to Kratos say he is in the "bulking up" phase of his workouts to get in shape for GoW3.

Wow, it seems like its in the middle of the game, according to this video we will find out in the game's story how Kratos became from a God of War to a lifeless bald nerd with powder on is face and is fat... wow, I think this could be one of the greathest stories ever in a video game... just imagine, Kratos sitting at his desk eating... CHIPS... and coke, playing video games, surfing on teh internet, it would be so godlike.
Superb video... I don't really play on the PS2 anymore but I hear GoW is sweet. I'm waiting on Stalker though (out now).HostileEffect
Only thing bad about stalker is you need a killer of a system to turn on DX9 lighting, (seems to be more demanding that it should be) and static DX8 lighting ruins the atmosphere.
