Yeah sure it is! GT5P isbasically an Online beta.
i think it's insane people buy this....
wtf? how can they even be allowed to release a game like that??? its unplayable.marklarmer
You mean like TF2 for the 360 is an unplayable mess, finding a good non-lagfest online game is immensely difficult. Or how about COD2's broken down multiplayer? Plenty of other examples too.

nah, this is a lot worse.. come on now.. keep it real. look at the video.. this is UNPLAYABLE.. i'm sure they'll fix it, but this is just not right

I had no problem with either of those games...you can host your own games so you're not joining somebody who's trying to host 16 players but can only support 8 on his bandwidth. ;)[QUOTE="Hoobinator"][QUOTE="marklarmer"]wtf? how can they even be allowed to release a game like that??? its unplayable.cecx

Those games are or have caused outcries by the fans for the fact that at most times they are unplayable. You really should check the official boards of TF2 and see just how bad the problem is.
Oh and here are a few more broken online games:
Prey (unplayable when it was first released).
GRAW1 (Glitchy is an understatement).
FEAR (The 360 version was a mess online, no lobby and lag galore).

I never had a RROD doesn't mean it doesn't exist. ;)
Calm down, I was just trying to help you out. You whine about lag but if you would host your own games you wouldn't have any problems.I'm just saying there are a lot of stupid people out there who try to host big games that they simply are unable to due to their bandwidth. If you want to eliminate lag, host the game yourself and pick an acceptable number of players for your connection. Then everybody will have a great experience.LOL@the guy who didnt notice lag because he was the host in TF2...
blitzcloud
Now that's sig worthy.

But being a host/server in a serverside detection game is a lagless experience.cecx
About the vid, im pretty positive that's an EU/US guy playing with *** people, therefore having a nice 400-600 ping delay... hell, probably over 1000...
Either that or someone with lots of packet drops. Those are some glitches that will find a cure in a future patch.

Oh OK. I tried many times to host games on TF2, but frankly the game is still unplayable for some of the other players. It just doesn't feel smooth at all. And I have a fantastic connection and was regularly hosting 16 player GRAW2 games on massive maps, with no lag.

i played team fortress a couple of times. there was no such lag that characters went flying all over the place like in these video's from Gt5:P
Lol, quit being hypocrites 90% of XBL releases get patched to fix the crappy online also.
I guess you could say it should run better what with everyone in the country living within a few hundred miles of each other but I can be generous.
Maybe if people are really ticked they can threaten to cancel their PSN service and demand their money back, :o , I bet that would give them some incentive to fix it.
Oh wait.
Was that idiot playing on a 56k modem or something? the lagg was some of the worst ive seen. My Prologue runs as smooth as silk online.RazMaTaz-1
lie, keep lying.:D
no one in japan use 56k modem, they all use at least 20mb cable.
people on gametrailer also found this problem.
http://www.gametrailers.com/player/usermovies/151073.html
to be honest, I hope they can fix thta, since I never found problems on xblive racing multi play.both forza2 pgr4 are smooth online.
funny as hell, I know cows would pay$ 40 for that gabage.:)wiiwillwiiwill
Yea, XBL is $50 and is totally Lag-free
From what I saw outside this video, it ran extremely smooth. I think this is somebody with a bad connection probably dling some stuff on the computer to try to make it seem worse than it is. That is awful though.rockydog1111
Exactly. I have Forza2 and its almost always smooth
But every so often someone has a crappy connect and lags things. Lets be honest you really thing GT5p can't run with out lag?/

Finally some sense.
WHy do people here act like the Game MUST run with Lag?????
from the video, I can saw the problem.
some people say his gt5 is smooth, but that not the case, even the worst online condition, you can run your own car smoothly, but saw others cars spin , fly like this video in gt5.
imagine if forza2 online is like this , people already bash xblive consistantly, but ps3 owners have nothing to compalin about, since it's free.

taht's true, that's why psn can't compare to xblive, imgaine ms already spent $2billion on xblive server, but sony almost spent nothing.
[QUOTE="Cubs360"]Ha, I wonder how it would be if they had all the custom Paint Jobs like Forza 2 does.VoodooHak
What kills me is that there's no car tuning... none.... a staple of what makes Gran Tursimo... well, Gran Turismo. For $40, I would expect at least that.
and this is exactly what keeps me from buying it. If it allowed at least some car modding, I would have been all over it. As it stands, its just a lesser version of PGR4. I understand it is just a prologue, but still.
