An hour of Pillars of Eternity Footage

We now know Pillars of Eternity isn't an eternity away—in fact, it'll be with us all too soon. To prepare us for that 26 March release date, the project's director, Josh Sawyer, has streamed over an hour of footage.

If you're an old Infinity Engine fan, you're going to want to watch this. It's a remarkable recreation of the spirit and look of games like Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale—or in other words, precisely what the Kickstarter first promised.

Looks absolutely amazing. That artstyle is top freaken notch.

Day F*cking ONE. I am so exciting for a true RPG like this. Not this pseudo Bioware RPG shit. More than four companion, absolutely fairytalish and dark look and feel, exactly how I love it. I can't wait for it.

This is touching my nostalgia in all the right ways.

I am definitely getting this. I just need to power through LoG2 and Wasteland 2 first....

why the mustard race makes high-end PC's to then play games on it that look like they were made for the PS1?

PS1 you say weren't cows excited over diablo coming over to the ps4

Having options is good. We can play games like this one minute, and then play games that make PS4 look last gen the next minute.

Atleast we have the option to play games with good graphics, unlike you.

Looks epic! This year is great for RPGs.

Looks stunning visually. Probably the best visuals of 2015 as of now.

However, I am still rather concerned about the gameplay. Did they put any effort into the encounter design at all? The encounter design is what truly made BG2 stand out.

Edit: Seems like Sawyer, acknowlededged it had issues as well, and that they are working on improving the encounter design. If they do, that is great and this game might just be the RPGoty this year.
