Analyst Predicts PS3 as Victor. (Screen Digest via BBC)

EXPLANATION OF CHART: The top of the colored areas is the total for all of the consoles. The amount of space each system takes up is the percentage that console had of the total sales. (Chart confused me at first too, but then I looked at the PS2's portion of the chart)

According to this chart, BBC thinks the outcome will be Playstation 3, then Xbox 360 a little over half of PS3 software sales, and Wii last with less than half the sales of the Playstation 3.

NOTE: These are software sales, but of course, software sales reflect on the amount of consoles sold. But for example, a lot of non-gamers may buy Wii's but in the end the non-gamers may just buy Wii Play and Wii Sports and that's it.

Also, look where the Dreamcast ended. I don't think you can make any assumptions based on that graph.braydee1234

Why? Dreamcast systems were discontinued in January 2001 and games were released up until February 2002 in North America.

You're right, yet the Dreamcast appears to be one place above Sony according to the theory that wherever Sony is, is top. 

What a load of bull that graph is...  The PS2 is still easily selling more software than the x360 can dream of, especially with recent games that came out like Okami, FF12 & GoW2 during the late 06/early 07 era.

Wouldn't exactly say it's a failure. 

One other thing i noticed as i was so awstruck with low sales of the PS2...... Xbox & Gamecube games have done well in sales? That explains why the same 3 or 4 Resident Evil games have stayed on the Gamecube top ten for the past 2 years and why my local ASDA store has stopped selling Gamecube games for ages.

Xbox.... your seriously not telling me that everyone bought more copies of Halo than all software sold for the PS2? :lol:
