I quite liked Ye old Duke.. No way is it the worst controller.

Im going to say the N64 controller. It sent gaming controllers down the right path but being the first of its kind it was too large and unbalancedamong other problems

I've been gaming for 10 years now, what the hell do you know? I just never played the atari jaguar, CDI and al those other crap consoles.

I had to google for a picture of the jaguar controller but after seeing a picture of it, it does look like a terrible controller. :lol:

As for my own worst controller: Since I've only tried a few, I have to go with remote that came with the CD-I player.

If that doesn't count as a controller I'll pick the PS1 controller.

PS. I have the original Xbox controller aka The Duke, and I like it. (guess I must have big hands :P )

That's a misconception. The duke's problem was that it wasn't held the same way as all the other controllers. I've seen people with huge and hugely small hands love that thing. Personally, it's the single best controller I've held in my life. Then again, I do have large hands.

Its not a bad controller at all, but sony's ps/ps2/ps3 controller kinda pisses me off.. so bloody similar each generation! Though as far as i'm concerned the sixaxis took a step back, i hate those triggers for R2/L2.

Come on. I hate the original Xbox and think it never should have been made...and yet only a complete gaming noob or fanboy would call it the worst controller. I am completely against 6 face buttons and MS definitely messed up making it so huge, but it WAS very comfortable to hold and the controller was very responsive. Sorry, but even an Xbox hater like myself is able to tell you all that you are delusional and wrong.

Controllers like the Jaguar (as mentioned) or its spiritual ancestorthe intellivision controller were pretty bad. While I personally didn't mind the GC conroller, to this day I still can't remember which is the X or Y button or find the Z-button without fumbling. The DC controller, while very responsive was big, ugly and gave me wrist pains if I tried playingfor more than an hour.

The ORIGINAL Xbox controller (not controller S) was absolutely awful.

From the unwieldy size, to the black and white buttons, to the retarded level of pressure you have to put on the triggers,and the ridiculous placement of the pause buttons, that was undoubtedly the worst controller I have ever used.

So a controller needs to be innovative to be good now? PS1 and 2s controllers were the best that I gamed on. I hated Nintendo's controllers.
