I was reading about the new PSN video store just now, and found out that when you buy a movie, or TV show, and you delete it, your HDD crashes, or buy a new PS3, you have to pay for the title again. What kind of crap is that?

You can only rent movies on the 360, but at least when you buy a TV show, it's yours for good. Even if you delete it, XBL remembers that you already bought it, and can re-download it for free.

It is a ripoff.

You pay $100 AUD (the price of a brand new-release game) just to be allowed to play games you already bought, online for a year.

Its quite clear that falls under the category of ripping off the consumer.

I know this first hand, a mate of mine had to pay for a second RROD repair and a new disk drive, which in a combined total was almost the same price of an arcade 360 here.

Not all Ps3 games have dedicated servers. At least everyone on XBL has a microphone.

The install feature on the 360 is OPIONAL. It's MANDATORY on most PS3 games.

I don't see PSN getting episodic content, expansions or other great add ons for its games. It's not always about just bringing a game online, it used to expand and extend the experience.

It's not perfect, for a start it's huge (sexy though)

The only ones to do it properly and the best this gen have been Valve with Team Fortress 2 - adding huge amounts of content that expands the community, and evolving the game (and continuously raising awareness).

I think it was a bad idea for Sony to even start because for one M$ already has lots of movies for download and now annouced a partnership with Netflix which pwns anything Sony is going to get.
