Anyway, it almost has to be Bioshock. Metroid Prime 3 will also be good, but I highly doubt it will live up to Bioshock.

Going by the demo and what I've read from every review so far, I'd say Bioshock is not only the best game this month, but the best game of the year, and maybe even the best game since LoZ OoT.LegendofYaslint

There have been megaton games like MEtroid Prime, Halo ,Half life 2 and Resident Evil 4 since and i'm talking about critical acclaim. I would say best game since RE4.

Goes to Bioshock hands down. I might actually pay the $59.99 for this game as the demos is incredible. I still haven't tried Stanglehold yet, but I will this weekend. I game looked like a must have as well.

So far Bioshock has received a "AAAA" rating overall on GameRankings.com I wonder what Gamespot will give it?

why would you hype this garbage when, WAY better, veteran games are coming out like, Halo 3, UT3, COD4, Bad Company, Frontlines: Fuels of War, etc....

I think the lack of marketing for this game by Ninty is the only thing hurting this title.

Plus, you know Wii owners are dieing for one of the big 3.

BioShock looks and plays great but it doesn't have "metroid" in its title.

Nor does it have a fight with Ridley while falling down a shaft.

I think BioShock has potential to be GOTY

But I think MP3 has potential to revolutionize gaming and the FPS control scheme as we know it.

I know what you are getting at, and I almost actually said RE4, but those games (including RE4) are more just finely polished games more than near art that shows how a true game world and story should be presented. Bioshock is not only a milestone in gameplay like those you mentioned, it is a milestone in the way we look at how a game approaches manipulation of the person playing it.

Only RE4 comes close to doing that on this level, and I think Bioshock will be a larger milestone than RE4. That is why I decided to go all the way back to OoT.

I could be wrong, I just said what I think will happen based on all the 10 out of 10 reviews that keep pooring in.

It doesn't fit the Game of the Month but it can sure fit into the Multiplayer Game of the Month. Which makes for the perfect combo of games I think to purchase if you're into those types of games.

The best overall rated game in August is obviously going to be Bioshock, but i'm probably going to be playing in August the most forgotten August release Monster Hunter Freedom 2.GuybrushMI

Hell yeah! But thats not out until spetember 9th for UK. Still it's a PSP game. Unless it's a nintendo handheld game people just don't care.

OoT is my favourite game ever but i don't know..Metroid Prime was pretty damn amazing , it got a 9.7 on GS.

Halo 2 lasted me a total of 36 months of hilarious, sad, action packed, and fun online.

you fail. Warhawk WILL be garbage. Trust me.
