well tbh there are 2 kind of flops definitions used here FF14 is obviously the biggest flop in the industry this year but using SW rules, it wasn't really hyped over here so I'm not so sure if it is the biggest one here :?
I´ll wait until the PC review of New Vegas comes up,IGN already scored it higher than the console versions,so that may be the case here as well. That,or it´s just late.

Well it certainly wasn't officially hyped but FF is certainly not expected to score bad bypractically NO ONE in the gaming community. XIV shattered this.

I don't see how someone can't understand that.. the game is great and all, but it was hyped AAA(9 or 9.5) and it fell quite short of that... Whatever makes you feel better.

Guys, let's be fair to the games that haven't released yet that demand an opportunity to take the coveted title of Flop of the Year. I'm looking at you GT5

As of now, APB is the biggest flop of the year. Game is 100% dead. After that then ff14. This game though is not even close to a flop considering over 90% of the reviews are 8-9's. Yes, gamespot gave it a low average but flop to me has to be more universal then relying on 1 reviewers number to state so. No if 90% of the reviews from everywhere were 7's I could agree but this just seems more Meh then flop.
Hmm.. I'd say FFXIV is an epic disaster and not flop. The shoe just doesn't fit. A flop has to be built up to be something it's not. I think these are better candidates for the year. Sonic 4 Lost Planet 2 APB Naughty Bear C&C 4 Alpha Protocol
the game was in development when MGS4 was announced and came out two years later (6 year dev time) was suppoed to be the uncharted 2 killer and take the graphics crown from PS3, AAA and also open world yada yada.
The game comes out sub HD, linear, only AA on GS and gamerankings and metric, failed on promised graphics, and sales were mediocore.
If going by definition then NV would be it techinically since FFXIV had almost no hype.

lol wut indeed. The game was received quite well by IGN and Eurogamer and user scores are around 9.0.
NV was hyped, it scored well below expectations in GS. It's a flop.
FFXIV was never really hyped (maybe for its graphics only), people knew it wasn't going to be good from beta, and of course it bombed in GS.
Seriously if you're going to lolwut me and then throw out Nine-GN scores then why are you here in SW. Everything here goes by GS scores which is why I said technically.
