or maybe they don't care because its not on the console they own?Remember, anything not on Nintendo that is being hyped is just graphics and thats it, no gameplay, dont you know, they can NEVER go together!Oemenia
You know, it's kind of strange, watching you talk to yourself.
Anyway, I predict MTV is going to bring a huge pile of suck to this game. If it actually has a good soundtrack, then I might just buy it.
But GH2 had Shadows Fall and Lamb of God! :twisted:Teufelhuhn
He said Metal, not crappy Nu-Metal garbage.
Urgh, Metalcore nowadays disgusts me. So many generic acts around.Oemenia
Truth, I've almost completely lost faith in American Metal. Seems like all the quality metal comes from Europe now, Finnland mostly.

Yeah like Dry.Kill.Logic used to be awesome back in the day, listen to their new stuff its all the usual grunts with repetitive power chords.[QUOTE="Choga"]I hope this one has a better soundtrack than GH. I need some METAL!Bread_or_Decide

haha, right. hanger 18, jordan, and the trooper are the best songs to ever grace guitar hero

Yeah, I was speaking directly about the two bands mentioned. Maiden and 'Deth are what GH needs more of. I'm surprised Metallica never showed up

Sorry, but IMHO Metallica sucks. Not just their newer crap, which is soo aweful, but even their original stuff never was THAT great, at least IMHO.but even their original stuff never was THAT great, at least IMHO. yoshi_64
Well then we disagree with something. Kill 'em All, and Ride the Lightning are masterpieces. Master of Puppets and ...and Justice for All are just classics.
That being said, Metallica is faaarr from being my favorite Metal band.
http://wii.ign.com/articles/777/777553p1.html Rock Band on Wii? Harmonix CEO says "Absolutely."Weslii
Too bad Wii owners will have to wait longer. Rock Band has no release date on the Wii. 360/PS3 version will be out this christmas.
http://kotaku.com/gaming/wii/wii-rock-band-likely-248882.php
Just got off the phone with folks from Harmonix, EA, MTV, Rhino and Universal, lots of interesting Rock Band tid-bits came out of the call, but I wanted to throw this one thing up quickly, if for no other reason than to put Wii owner's minds at ease.
The Wii was conspicuously absent from the Rock Band announcement this morning and during the call Alex Rigopulos addressed the concern that Nintendo gamers may not be getting their band on.
Absolutely, we will at some time bring Rock Band to every console of significance and in doing so we will customize and tailor the play experience to take into account the weakness of the console and the strengths of the consoles," he said. "I think (the Wii) is something that holds enormous potential for music games."
While that's not 100 percent, it sure sounds like they plan on a Wii Rock Band down the line. I think the reason it wasn't announced is because they're going to want to totally revamp it for the Wii and making the game for the PS3 and 360 is similar enough that that isn't an issue.
Stick around for a full story on the nearly hour-long press conference. Brian Crecente
[QUOTE="yoshi_64"]Did they not also display interest in GH for Wii and DS? It may not be announced outright now, but I've heard the CEO said it's something they are looking into, and witht he success of the Wii right now appealing to the mainstream audience, do you really think they would pass up the opportunity to do this? Highly It's intruguing, and I a owner of a Wii and 360 will look into regardless, but don't count the "sheep" out yet, cause it's possible this can happen as well. Besides, the nunchuk would be perfect for drum sticks already, not needing one to add in a peripheral which iwll likely be added to up the others and up the cost. (GH II on 360 for 90 bucks? sheesh... )magus-21They already announced Guitar Hero for the DS and Wii, I believe. Theoretically, the nunchuck and Wiimote alone could serve as a guitar, with the nunchuck's analog stick being the strumming....thing... and the whammy bar (twirl it instead of flick it for the whammy effect), and the Wiimote's buttons being the fret keys. Just plug it into a plastic frame.
Wow...that would ruin the game. The whole point of guitar hero is to play with the SG controller. Ya know...actual guitar shaped peripheral.

So what, if they'll be putting extra time into making the Wii version exclusive then great, Wii is already gettin other music games in the coming year so we can wait for one if its better than the multiplat versionThey already announced Guitar Hero for the DS and Wii, I believe. Like I said, just plug it into a plastic guitar frame. Nothing changes. Hell, worst-case scenario is that Harmonix releases a Guitar Hero attachment for the Wiimote that'll costs $20, since the Wiimote has all the circuitry needed already. They already announced Guitar Hero for the DS and Wii, I believe. So they make a Guitar perhiperal that docks with the Wiimote, making it motion sensitive as well

Why not just use the GH guitar? I can;t imagine anything else satisfying your lust for innovation and immersion short of an actual guitar.
Never got Guitar Hero on the PS2 or Xbox so has part sheep why would I care about a Guitar Hero game.....Now DDR then we will talkHarmonix takes the guitar Hero concept to the next level with ROCK BAND.

The GH guitar isn't exactly an actual guitar itself. And it would be cheaper to use the Wiimote and nunchuck and just plug them into a guitar frame. Just imagine the Wiimote plugged into the frame's "neck" (where the GH guitar's fret keys are) and the nunchuck inserted into a slot where the strumming thing is. Nothing changes. You'd still be holding the whole contraption like you would the GH controller, you'd still be pressing on the Wiimote's buttons like you would the GH controller's fret keys, and you'd still be strumming on the nunchuck's analog stick like you would with the GH controller's strumming thingie. Please Log In to post.
