I was at an ebgames a couple days ago, and I overheard a customer ask the cashier where they kept Guitar Hero for the original xbox.  It made me want to laugh my butt off.

The cashier politely said that the xbox never had a version of Guitar Hero.  I applaud his tact.

On a side note, I just got back from EB games and the clerk straight up LIED to me about an offer for a certain game to pre-order. They straight up told me, "If you would have pre-ordered, it would have only been a 9.99 monthly fee!". Don't lie to the master blaster foo. He spent like ten minutes trying to get me to pre-order Resident Evil 4 for the PC. 0_o

Some people just don't have a clue. I waled out of a Borders store and overheard one woman ask another if she though the Harry Potter books were evil. She was dead serious.

Resident Evil 4 is coming out for the PC, if I recall correctly.

Also I don't know why everyone's EB Games sucks. Mine are awesome, because they're employed by actual gamers who know what the customer is talking about. Going into mine is like a trip to the candy store.

My EB Games is really good too for the same reasons.

you are 100% wrong

EBgames and Gamestop whether you like the employees or not have the best stock and selection of games, and they always get them on the release date

Best Buy near me didnt get Okami for 2 weeks later

EB and GS are definitely the best place to get games, just don't let their employees open their mouths.

We have two EBs around where I live, and two Gamestop's.

Three of them are good.

One of the managers said the following (right about the time Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children was confirmed as a movie): "Would you guys like to go ahead and preorder Advent Children for PS3?"
"Um... no, it's a movie."
"No it isn't. A Square rep. came in a few days ago and said it's a game exclusive for PS3."
"He's wrong, it's a movie."
"No it isn't, it's a game."

/We Leave.

I really wish he still worked there (Supposedly he got fired), just to taunt the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children case around him. And say, "I thought this was a game?"

Too deep in the occult.  Christians hate them, because they say that they condone the act of devil worship

I had problem with a game freezing, so I went back to Best Buy to exchange it. Two Best Buy stores refused to take it back. Apparently they have a 30 day return policy, and I bought the game 34 days ago. I thought that was bogus. 34 vs 30 days isn't that big of a deal. The game didn't have a scratch on it. The box was in perfect shape. I had my receipt. And I wanted to exchange it for the same game. I wasn't trying to exchange one game that I beat, or regretted purchasing for another title. I wanted the same damn game!! I didn't really see what BB had to lose. They could just return the defective disk to the manufacturer and get credit. Instead, they lost a customer. After trying two different BB stores, I took a shot over at the Toys R Us. I told them I had a defective game, no reciept, and wanted to exchange it for the same title. They did it without a question. I was out of there in about three minutes

Best buy is a much better place for PC games. My local Gamestop has a tiny rack of PC games that look like they have been there forever. At least Best buy dosnt open there games

anyone who shops at gamestop or eb games is stupid. they give u 5 bucks for a used game then sell it for 5 bucks off what u could buy the same game brand new at walmart. i bought a ds lite there didnt like it the day after xmas. i tried to return it they said they give me 30 bucks trade in credit for it.last sunday i buy a xbox 360 elite at walmart changed my mind and wanted to wait for the new chip and a price drop  they giave me my 500 bucks back no qustiones asked....if there is a game my walmart doesnt have ill just buy it off gamefly.gamestop will never get a nother cent of my money!!munsoned

How long before Christmas did you buy it? As for them only offering you $30 for a DS Lite, I smell bull****. I saw the store near me offer $60 for a Lite to a guy who wanted to trade one in, and their prices aren't set by the individual store. If you want to lose as little money as possible when trading in, then sell the stuff yourself on ebay.

Having worked at gamestop, my favorite thing was when kids or parents would come in asking for games that didnt exist. I ahd one mom wanting Mario Planes for Xbox. this is how the converstaion went:

Lady: "Hi. i need mario planes for xbox"

me: "im sorry miss, but theres no such game"

Lady: "what do you mean"

Me: "well, it simply does not exist"

Lady: "what do you mean"

me: "well, A mario is owned by Nintendo, a different company that makes its own System, so it wouldnt be on a rival company's system. B, nintendo has not made a mario planes game. I can sell you Mario Kart, which is car racing, but it will only work if you own a Nintendo GameCube"

Lady: "why wont it work on my kids Xbox"

me: "because it isnt designed to work on the Xbox"

lady: "WHY THE **** NOT!?"

me: "you can leave now please, thank you."
