To me, Darksiders seems more like Zelda than God of War.

I'd say "Zelda who?" instead.

God of War and Dante's Inferno are a more apt comparison.

And yeah, this game looks like win. Unless something goes horribly wrong, I can see an easy 8.5.

I was about to mention that. Dante's Inferno is going up against God of War, while Darksiders is much closer to Zelda.

I am more excited for GOW III, but this is still a must buy for me. I do think Darksiders will have much more variety and that will hopefully quell all of the "GOW clone" talk.

this movie shows the combat, and to me, it looks alot more promising than the 'spam light and heavy' type of gameplay that god of war has. I'm not saying that gow 3 will be bad, definitely not, even though cows will think that. it's just that the combat in darksiders seems alot better.

that is true, and that is why I'm so stoked for this game. there are way to few action/adventure games this gen.

I know you just got GOW3 in the title just to get more posts right? i would have done the same :) but GOW is one of my favorite franchise and this game cant touch GOW. But you know, not cause of quality, i think this game is pretty diferent from GOW. Im really getting surprised with this game, the first time i saw it, i tought it was just another hack an slash.

But not anymore, its getting more and more one of my most wanted games. I think its already on my top 3. i Hope its as good as i think it is.

Well theres Darksiders... Dante's Inferno.. Bayonetta and God of War 3 with the latter being one of the PS3's most hyped title + conclusion to the trilogy + gameplay I'm already used to = a must buy.

I'll obviously be sure to check it out though, but being more a part time gamer nowadays, I won't be buying it unless it really strikes at my heart and so far, it's not really making my heart go boom boom pow.

This game just looks so damn silly, and not in a good way like Bayonetta. Still, I have it pre-ordered purely because everyone else seem to think it'll be great. Once more previews, impressions and reviews pop up I'll make my final decision.
