PC eaasily, because:
- I can get console emulators on it and play ps2 games
- it has bigger library with better games
- it has lots of other functions than only gaming

This list failz, who agrees? Well its correct, but because a $99 PC couldnt do that... its also wrong at the same time :PPC eaasily, because:

How is he wrong at the same time?
Because... 1) a $99 no matter what you find unless its a stolen current high end PC will not emulate PS2 anywhere near satisfactory. 2) Will not play most of the PC's current gen library. 4) Is very unlikely to be upgradable to any valuable extent(Replying to a troll thread)
What's to compare?
You spend far more on a comparable PC (gaming-wise) because you're getting far more. PCs don't just play vidya.

Even some newer and higher (and more expensive) models can't play some games.
3) You can find sometimes a affordable deals with second hand parts which no one needs.

You need a High End Duo Core/ medium Quad Core and still the framerates will be choppy... the PS2 emulator is very CPU intensive... no budget PC is going to play it at respectable levels at anything above 15 FPS. 2) My 3 year old 8800 GTS plays all games.... I cant see any card on the market that would also fit into a budget of $99 for the entire system EVER being anything but a dust binned card from 6-8 years ago. 3) so a budget PC in your opinion of $99 is going to come with a PCI-E 16 card slot? doubt it... or support for Duo/Quad Core CPUs? or the higher end DDR2s?[QUOTE="Birdy09"][QUOTE="sethman410"]

So this is what it's come to? Consolites have to severely limit the PC in order to compete with it! This is funnier than when a consolite excluded the RTS and MMORPG genres in a thread comparing system exclusives.

1) This is enough to play it satisfactory: AMD64 X2 or Intel Conroe E6600+ 512-1024MB of RAM Pixel Shader 2.0 supporting card
And this are the minimal: AMD XP/64 or Intel Pentium 4 512MB of RAM Pixel Shader 1.4 supporting card
2) DId you searched on auction sites and second hand markets (or even in your own neighbourhood)? You would be suprised with some prices. Some people want to simply get rid of their older pcs no matter the price, and some of those offers (while not top end, because it's impossible to get a top end pc with such price) can be decent and enough to play 2 years old games.
3) You are expecting to buy a high end pc parts with such price? It's obvious that it's impossible, the only thing I said is that you can get a good offers (sometimes literally for nothing) for some second hand parts (which some of them can be decent)... Most of people don't need to keep their old stuff (because what for?) even when it's still something worth. That's all.
yea bring on that list again. 99$ PS2 VS 99$ PC austral0pitecusA $300 PC will play PS2 games, a $300 PS3 won't. Now thart's irony :D
But still.. $99 PC still beats PS2, it offers bigger functionality and bigger games library.
Seems you've lost this one
