Another Killzone 2 is "mediocre" hands-on preview

Well, the evidence is piling up. Seems like it's suffering from Pam Anderson syndrome. Looks pretty, but dumb as a box of rocks.

Also, every game has had bad previews, but with killzone 2 the good previews outway the negative previews, what do you say about that?

So many FPS games have it, yet these guys choose to criticize that part in Killzone 2? :? Other than that, I am getting a bit worried about Killzone 2 and I do agree with some of their criticisms. Hopefully the multiplayer stands out.

Im more interested in the online multiplayer. The clan "bets" system seems interesting.

Well, to be fair, I've like many, many games that others thought were bad. Skate is probably my favorite game in years for example. Some of the gripes about killzone 2 from these hands on reports are pretty worrying though. I mean really, with all that money and time how the hell can they design it like that. I saw that video where the RPG is sitting right next to you, and you fire on the building to knock it down. It's just lame when they hold your hand through a game like that.nocode81

I dunno, I would be MORE worried about Too Human. Last time I checked, alot of sites said it was really medicore despite its 10 million budget. Its the most expensive game production.

Ok, come on, please don't play that card. I'm not "mad" that that almighty Killzone 2 isn't on xbox 360. I'm just saying, I've read more negative then positive about this game. The same issues keep coming up. Can you point out some positive previews that praise more then its graphics?

Youre right, it has no point. Someone just brought up the budget and play so i just thought of Too human.

Anyways, I was wrong about Too Human, the Budget is 80- 100 million making it the most expensive game to date

Well, I still think it is going to be a fairly high quality FPS that will have a purely chaotic, intense, war torn hell type of immersion to it to go along with it's striking graphics and technical fireworks. However, it is the gameplay and level variety I am just a bit concerned with here. That being said, it is a bit ridiculous to speculate so early. The game is not coming out until next year, so any current gameplay hang-ups are forgivable sins, and we have not seen the rest of the game. Although, I must admit, my concerns are still there.

As for other comparable games, I have more faith in Resistance 2 to provide a better overall package in terms of delivering a solid FPS exclusive for the PS3. I still have faith that KZ2 will be a great game though, but I have some lingering doubts about certain aspects of it. All I can say is, good thing it is not coming out until next year. As there are far too many other games that are higher on my list of must-plays that will clear the way for what will ultimately be a mega hit...or a monumentally mega let-down with great graphics. Should be interesting, to say the least. But, I am keeping an open mind.

Is that really true? 100 million? If so that is insane. I played the demo, and it was fun....sort of, but that is crazy if it actually cost that much. If you can find a link for that, i'll be amazed.

On a side note, what's the deal with the giant chip on everyone's shoulder about killzone 2. Relax, I was just pointing out a hands-on preview that is echoing some of the negative gameplay elements that some other previews have stressed in the past.

Killzone 2 looks amazing, and has very impressive textures and animations. There, everyone happy now?

Wow. Well safe to say that guy liked it. He specifically mentioned that the gamepley was better then he could describe. Night and day really. Guess we'll have to wait untill feb. to find out fo sure then. I'll admit though, IGN has much more crediability then that other site.

Resistance 2 will probably be a much better game. Although keep in mind that killzone2 won't be out till February.killzones

I don't recall any half decent site (or any site for that matter) give MGS4 bad previews.

I'd also like to report that IGN gushed all over Killzone 1, and look what happened.
