My point is My X360 is getting 1080p games because of an update M$ did to keep up with the PS3, despite M$ claiming that 720p was the real deal, and that 1080p isn't necessary.

I feel that 720p is the sweetspot though, but this whole thread is proof that competition is good.

I frankly don't get the point of putting games in 1080p right now. I highly doubt *any* game is actually being internally rendered at 1080p anyway (as in, extra details that can only be seen at 1080p that are not visible at 720p - details that are perhaps only a pixel in size and only show up on 1080p sets) regardless of whether it is on an Xbox 360 or a PS3. I'd rather that 360 games be awesome looking 720p than for them to make worse-looking games at a higher resolution simply for marketing's sake.

How come when I Type, people misconstrue my intents?

I am not blaming M$, I am saying the Competition is good. That's it.

I think it was cool of M$ to step up, we consumers won.

Bottomline, Competition is great and good for us gamers.
