yes another Uncharted 2 thread.

this time I want to know how does Naughty Dog pull of the facial animations so wonderfully. This is the only game I know of that makes convo look for real without using CGI. Especially non verbal communication.

That E3 trailer was very impressive..the best voice acting to date IMO.How do they do it and why don't more games do it?

2) Making good use of the power of the cell (main reason)

I think you got Uncharted 2 confused with Mass Effect 2.

epic fail.... CGI means computer generated images, all games are CGI..... i assume you mean externally rendered CGI, not made in the game's engine, all games do it. leaving the extra 500 polygons on their face required for talking while they were playing would be idiocy.

Naughty Dog seem to be very good at motion capture, as shown with the original Uncharted. As for there facial animations though, i'm not too sure.

just want to let you know that you constantly create a bad name for fanboys, so I ask that you just stop, lol

Do I really? I can't be the only one then.

I thought Heavenly Sword had some of the best lip sync and facial animations ive seen, especially considering the time it came out. The first uncharted did a great job too.

thanks for the correction, I'm not some big tech guy lol at Mass Effect...those guys are the definition of 'stone walled' back to Uncharted 2 though, why can't more games pull this off like them. Even during game play on the warzone vid. During the stealth part...this guys eyes tensed up even stronger as he moved in toward the 2nd kill. You'd have to watch it in slow mo to notice it but its really there. The attention to the smallest detail seems to have been payed attention to.

No, games are not CGI. They're real time.

Me too. Actually a bit disappointed that it's not. I thought by the thread title there may have been some kind of Rock Band DLC coming up, but no, it's only Uncharted.
