"To save you from inaccuracy due to annoying online translation engines, here's what we do know for sure about the Action Adventure Fantasy from publisher Sony: Folks Soul for the PlayStation 3 (which was tentatively titled Monster Kingdom, a.k.a. Unknown Realms). First, the game's set to be released in Japan on June 2007. Second, the lead Characters are named Keats and Ellen. Third, the game is developed by Game Republic, the same folks who developed Genji: Days of the Blade."

Oh no.....

Anyway, that aside, it looks okay. The second shot reminds me of Macalania Wood from FFX.

Yeah but cows will still hype it, they hype any old trash like Heavenly sword, made by the people who gave us that timeless classic...Kung fu chaos  it will suck, but cows don't listen they never do, which is why they've been owned on Motorstorm, Resistance

Oh no.....

that's exactly why I have minimal interest in the game.

Their problem is that they cannot make a game which flows and feels pleasurable to play. When I tried the demo of Genji, it felt clunky, as if the sum of all it's parts did not quite add up. A game like Ninja Gaiden or God of War however handles very smoothly and intuitively making them, despite the rampant difficulty settings, a joy to play.

True. I mean I liked Genji 1 on the PS2--it was actually pretty good, but short. Not as good as Onimusha, but basically borrowed the same gameplay. Problem with Genji 2 is that it's basically Genji 1 w/ a better coating of graphics, and that just doesn't make the cut for a next gen experience.

Onimusha - now that's a series which evolved well! I'm still hoping to see if Capcom revives it on the PS3. It was really a pity that Genji 2 couldn't have followed the same path. They had one of the original people who worked on Onimusha on board, yet they never really used him to their advantage. They also had a really good oriental soundtrack which the sadly counter-balanced with awful voice acting.

PS fuzzy, how are you enjoying your 360? Have you bought any true next-gen games yet eg. Gears of War, Oblivion, Dead or Alive: Xtreme 2 (:P)?

GENJI sucks but i remember from last TGS( i think it was) and guys(two of them) from 1UP show liked it very much. Both of them agreed that game had awesome graphics, it uses SIXSAXIX(or what ever the name is), overall they were pleasantly surprised by this game. Since then i have been waithing to hear something new, so i am very happ that it will be released this year.

You should go for Oblivion now on the 360. A patch just came out which you can download over Xbox Live. It improves all the textures in the game and also the draw distance, making it near enough PS3 quality. Plus Shivering Isles is coming out next month, which won't hit the PS3 for a long while. And you can get the 360 limited edition for pretty cheap - the PS3 version doesn't even get a limited edition flavor.

I was thinking about getting Okami, but i'm still broke after buying that damn laptopa few months ago. I've mostly just been sticking to some budget titles like Super Smash Bros. Melee, and i've gotten back into games like Dragon Quest VIII and Gran Turismo 4. The only "new" game i've bought recently was a Japanese version of Phoenix Wright 2.

Sounds cool, DQVIII is another PS2 game I gotta play before retiring that ol' console. I'll hunt around for the 360 limited edition, thanks for the heads up

I'm studying biochemistry at the moment, so I need to write quite a few assessments. It's a lot of work and many people aren't quite cut out for it (i'm beginning to think i'm one of those people). I definitely needed this laptop for that since I don't have a real computer of my own.

As for where I currently work, I have gone back to working at a movie theatre and doing some odds and ends at an engraving place (some factory work basically on the side). I need all the money I can get to fund my 'Elite' 360 (the new black one with the 120GB HDD).

The gameplay vids from TGS on IGN looked pretty good. I'll be interested in hearing more when the game releases.

Doesn't strike me as a AAA title, but it does look like it'll be a pretty fun A-AA title, definitely something a little different... which is just as good.

This was announced a year back, called Unknown Realms, or Monster Kingdom, changes names all the time, with the worst be the last :)

As for the next Onimusha, if one capcom game would make it to 360, that would be it, even Onimusha was on xbox

I'm in a bad financial state right now. And I want to get a 360 in the summer... :?

If it was up to me I would have skipped over the damn laptop, but I needed it for my work.

I hear ya. School takes up most of my time now, so I don't have a lot of money or time to spend on gaming. When summer comes around I'll be able to work again and have more free time. Btw, where do you work?

I'm studying biochemistry at the moment, so I need to write quite a few assessments. It's a lot of work and many people aren't quite cut out for it (i'm beginning to think i'm one of those people). I definitely needed this laptop for that since I don't have a real computer of my own.

As for where I currently work, I have gone back to working at a movie theatre and doing some odds and ends at an engraving place (some factory work basically on the side). I need all the money I can get to fund my 'Elite' 360 (the new black one with the 120GB HDD).

Yeah, gaming is an expensive hobby.
