Anyways, Gamespot has already made it clear they hate motion controls. IGN on the other hand, scored it the same as the 360 version.

His point is that its pathetic that anyone likes sports games, becuase the people that play them obviously would rather play a virtual simulation than play the real thing. Who cares about what scores sports games get? Its the FPS/RPG games that people should care about.
Can't developers just make extra controls for like gamecube controler or classic controler but then again that makes whole purpose of gaming on wii useless.starmaine1990
I think you've hit upon the fundamental weakness of the wii and it's greatest strength. Multiplatform games will be terrible on the wii, however that will force developers to make exclusives for the wii.
Out of ALL the multiplat titles you'd think this one would have the greatest chance of actually scoring higher on the Wii.
I mean, for Christ's sake - it's ping pong, the Wii remote is practically made for games like that.
Kind of surprising.

Who the hell buys ping pong games anyway? I'll stick to the table in my basement :S

I'm an air hockey man myself.
Just kind of shocked that the game was messed up, you'd think the ii would be a perfect fit for anything Ping Pong / Tennis / Bowling, etc. because the entire game is based around those swinging/hittingmovements.

Exactly. The Wiimote is less reliable than a good dual analogue controller, when motion control is all the Wii has it really shows it up.

The controls in this game could easily of been implemented well if the developer tried. If they could do Wii Sports I don't see why they can't do ping pong.

More complicated mechanics than Wii Tennis, its not just swing swing.

Ping Pong isn't just hitting a ball? Then what the Hell is it?
Poor Sheep. Their first-parties flop AAA status and their multiplats suck...
Then again, EA hasn't done much better for us Cows  greedy lazy $@!.....

From the IGN review:
"We'd go as far as to say the Wii version plays better, is more entertaining, and far more intense than its 360 counterpart simply based off the motion controls, and that's a huge testament to Rockstar's design."

I couldn't trust IGN as far as I could spit at them.

what was more complicated? you moved withthe analog but how does that change what the wiimote does?

All you do in Wii Tennis is swing the Wiimote without anything to think about other than timing. Table Tennis goes a little deeper than that and the way you swing has an effect on the ball too.
It has more complicated mechanics.
[QUOTE="PhoebusFlows"]There's going to be a lot of these. Crappy multiplatform games on the Wii wont be rare.ImError88
AND for the 360, AND for the PS3. Every platform has them.
The Wii has the most out of the three because Nintendo doesn't exercise any control. They sign a contract with THQ and Ubisoft, half-heartedly interested, and then they dump like 12-25 crap shovelware games. Microsoft andSony, while having their share of crappy multiplats, don't do this as much because they tighten the reigns a little more. Nintendo just opens its doors like a late night Amsterdam brothel.
As far as I can tell, there hasn't been stupid games like Carnival, Horsez, and Gingerbread Man on Xbox 360. On one hand, the Wii is cheaper to make games for, and that might be a good thing. On the other hand., cheaper development can also mean cheap crappy games.

360/PS3 multiplats>>>>Wii exclusives>Wii multiplats
Not to me it ain't. Wii exclusives = 360/PS3 multi > Wii multiplats.

True, but as gamers, should we really care about the bad games? I only focus on good games (which probably everyone does), and each system has their share.

Um obviously you have no clue as to what you are talking about. It's also obvious you haven't played Wii Tennis. Well here is a little info you obviously do not know. You can put top spin, back spin, and lob on the ball in both the forehand and backhand swing in Wii tennis. You can also direct your shots, and hit it hard or soft. Sounds pretty in depth to me. But you wouldn't know that since you have never played it. Or never even tried to do anything but just swing.

if the controlls dont work well in a sports game, then its game over for it.
and its hard to make a sports game work with a wiimote
That's rediculous, besides I find it rather hard to get 20 people together everyday to play football, Madden fills the void. His point is that its pathetic that anyone likes sports games, becuase the people that play them obviously would rather play a virtual simulation than play the real thing.
