Anton Mikhailov (Sony R&D) explains to us why Sony picked Move and not Kinect.

"Tech is not mature enough"

"When the rubber meets the road, in the end of the day, you have to make games that work. You can only write the gimmick for so long."

etc.

both kinect and move only look suitable for certain games, rts with paintbrush effect lol. if it worked so well that way, we would already be doing it on keybaord and mouse... yet sony pr dude acts like its only possible with move...

I just find this funny, anyone seen the video where they trash talk to Wii's IR pointer?

I bet developers won't even use this like how there not using Wii-Motion plus.

Edit- Oh, hiphopgamer not even worth my time.

You may not be a fan of him, but he recently had a ground breaking interview with a Guerrilla PR manager. Using his "journalistic" skills, he got some new info for the game that no one other publication has gotten so far. The guy confirmed party system, quick join, innovative new game modes, and expanded deathmatch. I agree that he can be overzealous, and that may annoy you. But he has really evolved into a productive member of the industry. What I like most is that he's not the corporate-type and is underground so to speak. He'll ask things that some others probably won't. Questions gamers really want to ask.

Now, I'm about to watch this video. He's been getting some nice interviews lately :).

Anton is always at some Move stand waiting for a camera so he can drop some knowledge. Hes always off to the side doing his own thing and someone comes along with a camera and he busts out a bunch of cool tech demos.

That was actually a really good interview. I know many people bash HHG, but he actually did ask a lot of good questions and I actually gained some more knowledge involving Move. It's much more entertaining to watch him do an interview than some corporate shmuck in a business suit with an expansive vocabulary for 20 minutes

Anton has an endearing geekiness to him.

Meanwhile, the HHG is as annoying as ever.

they were working on the move tech since 2004. end of story. look up the video on youtube if you want proof. though back then, that ball on the controller was 2x as big and it had no buttons.
