I can't wait for the game. Why haven't there been any threads for it. It is an obvious GOTY contender.

I'm neither excited for the game, nor the prospect of paying over $150 to play the entire story... or even $180 given Activision's advent of $60 PC games.

Hopefully the next two campaigns will be at expansion prices. Anywho, I'm excited because I know the game is good. Probably pick it up next year at some point.I'm neither excited for the game, nor the prospect of paying over $150 to play the entire story... or even $180 given Activision's advent of $60 PC games.

Which game should I start with? Warcraft 3 + The Frozen Throne. Searched it up and found it cheap too, I don't why I don't play these games, even though I heard of them years ago. Oh right, I'm not huge on RTSs, but I do play a decent amount, should give it a shot.[QUOTE="mitu123"]

Warcraft 3 is a great game to start off on. I recommend starting off on the singleplayer then messing around online in some of the custom content.
Well, I honestly thought Starcraft was a highly overrated piece of crap anyways(And this is coming from a Warcraft 2/3 addict who also has a passion for Diablo),and Starcraft 2 doesn't look any better, really. You have to buy all the campaigns seperately(so that's, what, $150-180 if you want to play through it all?), and I'm not 100% sure but I heard you have to be signed in to Battle.net even to play it single-player, which doesn't sound like a great idea either. Either way, I hope they make a REAL Warcraft 4 after this. D= I don't care if it brings in money, WoW isn't Warcraaaaaft!
You should really give it a go,your life will never be the same ;) Which game should I start with? Well, personally I would say Starcraft(obviously! :P),although if RTS isn´t really your thing,Diablo 2 is a great choice. It´s hard to dislike that game. You should remeber though, that both these games are old now,and in some ways not as good as some recent ones(mainly in the graphical department),although to me they are,but I can see that someone who hasn´t played them at the time of their release would think otherwise.[QUOTE="Arach666"][QUOTE="mitu123"]

This is why I recommended Warcraft 3 first. It's a bit more up to date for some who hasn't grown up or played the earlier Blizzard games for years. It's pretty easy to delve into and have a good time. Though I think Starcraft 2 is going to put a nail in the coffin to all the previous....I read every interview available out of Blizzard and they've said numerous times that they won't charge for it and that SC2 is appropriately priced....like WC3 was.Lethalhazard

It's the most recent of their games (not counting WoW), and it's a lot of fun. There's a ton of value in the singleplayer alone. I also cannot recommend StarCraft enough. While it is a little dated (especially visually) the story and campaign modes are excellent, and Battle.net hosts hundreds of thousands of matches a day.[QUOTE="Lethalhazard"]

I don't mind the graphics, I still play games older than that game, and I'm known to accept a game for what it was during it's time so I shouldn't have problems adjusting to it. I usually have a nostalgia feeling after all.:P[QUOTE="Lethalhazard"]I read every interview available out of Blizzard and they've said numerous times that they won't charge for it and that SC2 is appropriately priced....like WC3 was.foxhound_fox

No. I've played RTS games before which means i have played Starcraft 2. It looks totally average from the gameplay videos. Also, i'm not paying $60 for 1/3 of a game just so Activision can take more of my money. They have had years upon years to make the full game and they can easily put it all into one package, but they chose not to so they can take more of your money. People hate on $15 map packs for COD because Activision is "greedy", yet splitting one game into three so they can take your money is okay according to those who support the 1/3 of a game idea. Having long campaigns doesn't justify making you buy three separate items. They try to justify the $60 price tag AND 1/3 of a game by trying to tell us that they are long and have lots of content, and i just don't think that is a good enough reason.
I think Starcraft brought me into the world on PC gaming, the least I can do is be TOATALLY FREAKING EXCITED!!!!!! :x

And that´s a great thing in my book :DPlease Log In to post.
