So im here with steam. i look at my list and notice i have about 25 games i haven't completed on my list, which im pressuring myself to complete already. I then look on my second harddrive and i have MMO's that i'm working on. These such mmo's being Dungeon Fighter, Vindictus, Spiral Knights and Dragons Nest and now playing Rusty Hearts. I then have this thing where im constantly thinking about Team fortress 2 with the free times i have. I then have to worry about steam sales, which im sometimes a complusive buyer now.

Because of PC gaming i'm forced to sell my consoles because i have no time for them. I'm feeling really overwhelm by PC gaming, though thats not a bad thing at all.

Anyone else feel this way also?

I can see where you are coming from. :) I have backlog of PC games. I blame Steam. I mean it's really hard to pass on a deal when they are selling game for as low as $4.99. So DAMN you Steam. :P I predict with all the games I have bought it will take me around two years to complete the ones I want to complete.

yeah i just cant keep up anymore cause of steam, but i'm encouraged to. i think i made a good gaming move by going pc exclusive, though. i thought i would be missing out a lot on console gaming but im not really.

I agree, having somewhere around... 70 games? I have a huge backlog, although I've been managing it quite well.

Aha! 65 games on Steam alone (http://www.steamcalculator.com/id/gandaf007) plus all the other games I haven't bought on Steam, so I'll say upwards of 75-80.

a bit.

i own 160 steam games. there are plenty i havent touched. like stuff i got in bundles that i didnt want. but yeah, its crazy how many options there are. my backlog has never been bigger.

its weird, i find myself procrastinating playing games by playing other games. lol.

I only have 8 games on Steam. I don't buy console ports and a bunch of 10-30$ indie games. Also I don't buy SP only games either or games with dead multiplayers. I only bought one game from EA's Origin.

I don't know how many box games I have....do you want to count them for me?

thats the beauty of pc gaming, the absolutely ludicrous amount of games there are available, most of them great, others cheap, some great AND cheap.

You don't need another machine. I just installed a utility that allows me to set any fan speed I want on my GPU. This beats any heat problem, which the consoles can't.

I'm just overwhelmed with games in general. I own not only a good rig, but also a PS3, 360, PSP, and older consoles. There are so many good games coming out nowadays that I simply don't have the time or money to play them all. Steam sales have certainly helped with the 'affording' part, but not with the 'time' part.

Very much so. I will try to list the games that I am less than half way through or have yet to even start.

Amnesia, The Ball, Dead Space 2, Dragon Age, Dragon Age 2, Deathspank, Limbo, Monday Night Combat, Portal 2 (I have yet to touch the co-op), S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: CoP, Sanctum, Shadowgrounds, Starcraft 2, Torchlight, Bob Came in Pieces, Crayon Physics, Gratuitus Space Battles, Alpha Protocol, And Yet it Moves, Anomaly Warzone Earth, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, Bioshock 2, Cogs, Dirt 3, Dungeons, GTA: EFLC, Guns of Icarus, Hammerfight, Hoard, Magika, Star Wars Force Unleashed 2, Steel Storm, Terraria, VVVVVV, The Witcher 2, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2, Red Faction: Armegeddon, E.Y.E., and Civilization V.

I am sure there are a few that I missed and this doesn't include my constant addictions to Diablo II: LoD, Minecraft, BF2, and BF:BC2.

I honestly don't know how I will play/finish half of these knowing that ME3, Diablo III, BF3, Deus Ex: HR, Rage, and plenty of other PC games are coming out.

Indeed, especially since I play COOP games also. I have a huge backlog of games to play that I haven't gotten around too. Steam and its sale is a fairly large culprit.

Recently played games are the ones I've finished or am currently playing, the rest haven't been touched. I don't really have time for consoles anymore, except for a few exclusives.

Man, if the intent to finish a couple of dozens of games is overwhelming you, then i have to tell you that life's problems is going to obliterate you. You definitely need to change your mentality, starting today.

You could make a schedule, and follow it to the core.

You don't have to play everything ever made.

Only buy games you are crazy about, and play the hell out of them, on any platform.

Thats nothing compared to my 54 PS2 games, 184 PC games, About 30 PS3 games(exclusives only) and 68 Xbox 360 Games and this not my whole collections just the games i have to get through

I suppose if I counted other generations I could go back through every console I own back to the NES...which is every Console seeing as I own all of them back to the NES as well as a huge library of PC games. I still haven't beaten some games on older platforms...yes, that old. But I kept it to PS3/360 for good measure. Didn't even include Wii. Heh.

Aha, yes! I can relate. PC has such an epic backlog. I am currently working on Fallout 2, Planescape: Torment, Amnesia, The Witccher 2, and I've very recently opened up Counter Strike: Source again. And these are only the games I'm determined to finish. I have plenty more. :)

I got about 210'ish STEAM games and there's a number of those that I haven't played yet. However those games are all games I bought at a high discount during sales. I like actually having games available that I haven't played. It's nice to have something new to pick up if or when you feel like it. And for a couple a dollars a title it not that expensive to stock up for a rainy day.

Id say dont rush it, when you rush you lose from the experience.

Also, dont try to play every game out there, play only the good ones that worth spending the time on or only the ones you really like.

This is why i also think its better to have only like 2 gaming systems, pick your favorites and stick to it.

I have about 80 or so on Steam I need to finish, plus a few more with the humble bundles 2 & 3. But I have a lot more on DS I need to complete. DS could take more than a decade to complete, and PC maybe half that. No rush though. Why bother playing if you're forcing yourself to. Doesn't sound like a lot of fun to me.

I feel the same way. I have way to many games, and not enough time. Yet I still buy more. I have all the consoles plus the PC. Thinking of ditching the consoles flat out next gen though. My back log alone might take me that long just on PC now! Stupid Halo, Mario, and Uncharted making me buy consoles.....lol

Lucianu

I have 100+ games on 4 consoles + PC games to complete, and i like them all a lot, hence i really want to finish them. I don't stress my self over it because i have the rest of my life to complete each one.

Man, if the intent to finish a couple of dozens of games is overwhelming you, then i have to tell you that life's problems is going to obliterate you. You definitely need to change your mentality, starting today.

You could make a schedule, and follow it to the core.

SOME of us may have work, school, school acitiviies, family, things around the house to do, and friends to hang out with. There is very little time for gaming sometimes, and when great games are being made and we buy them, immense backlogs build up. My wii and pc probably have the biggest backlogs right now...

The simple solution is to just not buy new games when you still have some that you need to play. Which I understand is definitely harder said than done with Steam sales.. I mean I just bought Portal 2, Fall Out 3 GOTY, and Terraria within a week.

I feel like that....sorta I would never sell my 360 because of it though. I use my Xbox for....well recently only for Netflix. Still, I have about 20 games for xbox backlogged and about 20 for PC. But how is that a bad thing? I buy games when they are like $5-$10 (xbox or PC - PC primary) and then play them as I feel like it. 5 years from now, when everyone is playing their Xbox 720, I will still be catching up. But that just means I won't have to pay intro prices and deal with early release problems of the next consoles (Learned my lesson buying a 360 at launch)
