[QUOTE="SolidTy"][QUOTE="HoldThePhone"]I mean I'll totally rent it, the single-player will be fun to play through.
However, the game is so identical to RE4 it's kind of lame, and definately not worth $60 IMO. "Why mess with something that isn't broken", I know I know. But RE5 really takes that saying to an embarassing level, and it's a shame because the franchise had so much more potential after RE4.
Anyone else with me? Or is it basically agreed that RE5 is gonna be TEH BESTSST GAME EVAR OMG GRAPHIXXX!!!1

There are a few posters that have this sentiment, but only for RE5. Is it because it's NOT on Wii? Are we seeing NIntendo fans angry that RE5 has bybassed the machine, since it lacks in nextgen power?
In any event, what you are saying is HALO 3, MARIOKART, GeoW2, ROCKBAND 2, and many other games are a shame...and that's just not the case.
This is NOT the same game, it's RE5, and until you beat it, and post the same thing, your post won't be relevant.
Why are you bringing fanboy issues into this thread 0_o ? I'd said I'd rent the game because it's clearly going to be fun to play through.
Halo 3, MarioKart, and GeOW2 all changed very little. They kept to the same formula that was proven to be fun. It's just a shame that we aren't seeing bigger changes. Because while RE5 will most likely be more fun to play than RE4, it could of been so much more IMO -- and that's a shame.lol. What fanboy issues, when you said, "TEH BESTSST GAME EVAR OMG GRAPHIXXX!!!1"?
Look, you want bigger changed, but it seems to me you are new to the gaming world, or at least to RESIDENT EVIL.
Resident EVIL 1, 2, 3, Code Veronica, 0, and REmake all played the same.
Then Resident Evil 4 came along...and you SUDDENLY  want Resident Evil 5 to be vastly different?
Capcom struck gold, and just like any company, they are going to at least see some returns on this new RE as long as they want. This is the first TRUE RE4 sequel, and if you didn't know, RE4 DREW in more fans, so it only makes sense to appease the new fans along with the old.
On top of that, CAPCOM is juggling a new engine, so tackling a new engine AND new scheme is just crazy talk.
When RE4 came along, they already had PLENTY of practice that gen...think abou it that way.
The Wii is the Wii, also. I just wanted to say that. No Wii RE5 for you. Capcom knows that RE4 debuted on the Gamecube, then a PS2 version came along with more weapons, missions, and outfits.
Anyone saying it was "odd going back to twin analogs" waited too long to play RE4 in the first place, or desperately wanted to play an easier version of RE4 on Wii. RE5 wasn't designed for those waiting on Wii, but rather the people that bought it launch day for Gamecube/PS2.
