Anybody Else Hate WOW amd think Blizzard is evil?

Sounds silly but ppl that play will might be able to understand how you can hate a game 95% of the time but still feel the need to play it. Every part about the game is designed to suck as much life/time out of you as it can and keep you coming back. My favorite part is spending 15 minutes traveling from one part of a continent to the next or when I want to try out a different spec for my toon to see if I like it and having to pay more gold each time I do it.

The good news is I eventually play to sell my account and go back to normal casual games that allow you to play for 15 minutes and feel satisfied. How much you think an account with 9 level 70's will go for?

My favorite part is on most singleplayer RPG's if i made a i mistake 10 hours into the game and want to change it, it'll take me 10 hours to get back to the same point.

WoW is one of the best games of all time, and Blizzard is one of the best Developers of all time. If you don't like it, don't play.mismajor99

eh If I wanted to waste money I would spend it on fast cars and booze....also I can't help but feel boorreeedddd when I play that game...Am I the only one who notices every quest is basically " Go kill Xs ten times" or to mix it up a bit "go Kill Xs until they drop 20 Ys"UnknownSniper65

I find the community aspect of WoW to be what really makes it a great game. Questing with a few others is always more fun than solo'ing, at least in my experience, and there is never a shortage of people that want to. It's the ultimate online co-op game for me.

Guild Wars is good, but not as good as WoW. Plus GW isn't even an MMORPG its CORPG.

You pay for a reason though, I honest to God am one of those ppl that normally would say "you have to pay? **** off!" but honestly I'll never play a free mmo again, your constantly getting content patches and fixes, if some sort of exploit is found in WoW or any kind of problem, they get it fixed fast. Their always on top of everything, I don't have any numbers, but I'm sure you'd be really surprised by how many people work dedicated to that game.

Which is why I rarely quest these days, I find instances and battlegrounds to be a whole lot more fun than questing.

this is all just my own opinion but yeah you can't argue with success. If i were in the position of blizzard i would try and hook as many people as i can.....same with the cigarette companies, you can't argue with success, I would do the same things they are doing....maybe i'm devious but if i can make an extra buck i'm all for it

This is pretty much what was going through my mind.

WoW truly is an excellent game; the reason it is addictive is because it is that good.

And you won't find many better game developers than Blizzard.

I'm a true hardcore gamer I don't dedicate my life to one game. I am sure this game has it's good qualities though. But the Warcraft world is about as original as dog poop on grass and I could care less about it.JiveT

The only problem with that analogy is that Cigarette companies kill millions of people with their product, while Blizzard brings happiness to millions of gamers, they are polar opposite. I wouldn't compare the cig company's to anyone but themselves.

Can't say I hate it because I have never played it, but I'm already sick of it because people talk about it all the time. Also the people from Blizzard were dicks at GDC. You can carry on a good intelligent discussion with them until you mention you're a student, then they treat you like idiots.Spindoc_SEI

Actually, Blizzard has some of the most laid back, down to earth guys I've ever seen. That's not to say they don't have a few bad apples, but they are a lot more humble than most developers. They could easily be the cockiest out of every game developer, being that they are the most successful.

I hate WoW. Do you know what I do about it? I don't play it.

Nope, Blizzard is one of the best in the business.

They havent put out a bad game ever, and they even canned fully made games just because they werent upto the normal Blizzard standards.

I didn't say it as a fact, I said in my opinion. WoW practically put me to sleep, and it's the only game made by Blizzard that I have not enjoyed.

Most games are about as original as dog poop on grass, from CoD4 to Gears of War to Uncharted.

Either way, it's a good game :)

I got the game because of the hype. I had retired it and tried to force myself to like so many times and I thought there was something wrong with me because I just wanted to quit. Then I came to the conclusion I have superior standards to people who play WoW and left. :P Seriously I'm bored with all video games, I'm thinking about hanging up my gamepad for a while. Been playing them 10 years now and even got an injury from them! (Which reminds me, I should be resting it instead of being on here.)
