I mean seriously the ps3 mocking add is sort of right, who does want to use there hands as a gun? how on earth will u play platform games, the only games I can see being a little bit fun is boxing games apart from that you have a very limited selectionof games that would actually work on Natal, they will surely have to bring out a wii like controller as well?

You don't have to use your hands as a gun. You can use a real unloaded pistol or anything for a gun. USE YOUR IMAGINATION.

I agree. Of course, MS has claimed that Natal is such an innovative tech that you could, for example, use a toy gun to simulate playing a shooter. Of course, that doesn't solve the problem of button inputs. Unless Natal is sophisticated enough to register movements as subtle as a trigger finger pull in all kinds of lighting conditions and will all kinds of other movement in the picture as well. I guess we'll have to wait and see how impressive the Natal tech is. If it's as innovative and impressive as they're making it out to be, I could see applications for it in every area of life, much less gaming. Either way, I predict a bunch of casual games, and not so many "traditional" ones, for both devices.

No. It does not need a Wiimote like controller. All it needs is to work, be good, and be fun. Definitely purchasing Natal.

Well how will it know when you're using your hands then? Using the pull the trigger gesture should be enough.

I'm predicting some good 1st party games from Sony and dozens of wii, ps3 mutiplates that suck. From natal all thats awaiting is casual games and fail. Such a device is not one that can deliver anything else (look at eyetoy and pseye without move).

I don't think it matters since I don't think there will be a game that encourages you to use an object as a gun. Just the other week, a kid killed himself with a pistol he thought was a Wii accessory. I don't think MS would allow a risk like that to happen. Lawsuits would ensue when people "accidentally" shoot themselves, others, televisions, etc...

Always practice firearm safety. Treat every gun as if it were loaded. Simple as that.

thing is ps3 and wii will be the same games. if its a ps3 exclusive or a 3rd party . either one you can just sit there and get the same results as if you stood up and make the real life movements. thats what takes the fun factor away after a few months on the wii. natal will make you get up off the couch letting you make the action and get varied results each time you or each person. not like on wiisports where i could sit there and throw my wrist foward and pitch the same speed as my friend winding up to pitch as fast as he can. which will be more rewarding in the end of the day. move is just a step above wiimote. natal is on a whole new level....

So Im guessing you didnt watch last years e3. The crowd loved the ps eye and loved the demonstration. Also saying immature comments like " the ps eye looks like a ***** " is ridicules. It locks noting like one. Again its just something else you clearly haven't seen.

MS went too far into the unknown with Natal, it will probably end up with similar games to Eyetoy like olympics and other sports related games. Can't see FPS's or RPG's working on Natal with no controller.
