So I bought a PC earlier this year. Nothing top end, but good enough to play anything. 8800GT 512 overclocked, quad core Intel, 3 gigs of ram, media center edition.
Anyways, I found that I have not bought any 360 games since! I've owned a 360 for closing in on two years now, and played it all the time before I got my PC. Now I just game on the PC because it has a lot of the same top tier titles and they are all a much better version for my monitor (42" LCD 1080p). Games just look better, and play better. I re-bought Mass Effect, and it's SO much smoother and better looking than it's 360 counterpart. I now own Gears, Assasins Creed, both Crysis' games, Far Cry 2, Dead Space, and Fallout 3 on PC.
I was just wondering how many other people are in the same boat of not really seeing the need for a console when you have a decent pc? There are also many other types of games you can't experience on a console, plus I get to browse the web, e-mail, watch movies, etc with my computer. It's just sooooo much more utilitarian. Anyways, let me know if you've found this to be true and why for yourself as well!
