Well I sure do, In fact I think it's a perfect game, I could replay it a million times and not get sick of it, I love every track of the soundtrack, I love all the characters, I love the combat system, the graphics, the leveling up system, the side quests, and I love the story most of all.

Final Fantasy VII didn't really do it for me, but Crisis Core was easily one of my favourite games of all time. Who else agrees with me ?

While I'm not all that fond of FFVII, I must disagree. I hated the randomness of the combat- You leveled up at random, you execute limit breaks at random, you summon at random, etc. It made it feel more like a game of chance than of skill.

Well I never played Crisis Core so you can just ignore me, but I doubt I would love it as much as Final Fantasy 7. The game looks fun and I really want to play it but I have no PSP.

I can't vote :x I haven't got my copy of CC yet, I will have soon though because it looks great and I finally sprung for a psp last week 8). Maybe Ill necro your thread  depends how awesome it is (I picked up FF7 on the store too, the PSN store prices aren't bad at all for the classics imo).

No. The only thing about Crisis Core that was truly great to me was some of the cutscenes, especially the ending. Also, Zack overall. He was just a great character imo.

According to some FAQs I read on GameFAQs, they're actually not random.

I'm aware, but they might as well be considering they're not under your control.

As a VII vet, I love both games. However if asked to pick one or the other as a favourite, VII would win hands down.

No, both are horrible games. *Note: preemption FF7 dislike, and FF7 crisis core dislike have absolutely nothing to do with the ps3, psp or this generation, they have to do with a general dislike of FF7 and every thing it has spawned. You shall feel my wraith if you even mention my current fanboy affiliation, the ps1 was my most liked system that generation*

If I had to pick one then it would be FF7 the original being the better game, Crisis core was a often used, linear travesty with only 30 or so unique monsters reused over 500 times, a set of like 8 maps reused 300 or so times the game was boring, and monotonous. If you want Crisis cores story go play the first 5 or so hours of ff7, up till kalm and the retelling of nibelheim there are very few differences in story, with you playing the part of Zack instead of cloud, Dont even get me on the massively brainless combat which in my multiple playthroughs I beat the game once doing one thing...ATK,ATK,Dodge...I did that the entire time and beat the game...then you have the plot holes and near total rewrites of story it introduces to the ff7 mythos. Good graphics and polish are just not enough specially in a psp game, specially in the fact this game is not a portable game its meant for extended play times not pick up and go.

FF7 should never have had a movie, never a 3ps sequel, prequel or anything else they've just ruined the mythos and universe more then FF7 managed too.

Let's just say playing Crisis Core convinced me of how dumb a decision SE is making in not rebooting FFVII. Even a PSP remake would be fine (with an option to play it on your PS3). Though CC's biggest flaw for me is that I knew the ending from the start so I didn't find it touching in the least, just blown outta proportions. The story revelations during the game were nice though.

Not sure if srs. Pretty much everything you listed are the reasons I hate the game. The soundtrack was pure ass compared to what final fantasy is known for ( techno rock, lol wut?) the combat system was laughably unbalanced (the game pretty much plays itself. You just have to rely on the random actions to work in your favor(don't remember what the proper name is as I sold my copy ove a year ago and vaguely remember the details). The leveling system made you too powerful too fast, so battles weren't even a challenge, the side missions were kind of fun, but they were pretty much just put there just to extend the game. As for the graphics, yes they are nice, but the game uses so much ram into making it pretty that you can't even walk anywhere( invisible walls galore) and there are loading screens every 10 feet. As you can prolly tell, I don't really remember that much about the game since I sold my psp a year ago. There is actually things I hate about the game that I don't even remember. I will never know how in the hell this game scored higher here than God of War: chains of olympus, but honestly, the games box art was of more value than the actual game IMO.

I really liked CC. Mainly because of the presentation and story. However if FF7 hadn't existed, i wouldnt have even liked it half as much. The greatness came from knowing what was going to happen and how great Zack was.

I liked the storyline in Crisis Core, but I like the traditional turn based battle system for FF7 more than the more button mashy one in Crisis Core.

Crisis Core was a disgrace. The ONLY RPG I ever played where I literally can hit one button over and over and win 100% of battles. Story line went all over the place as it was a prequel and had to touch all aspects of story. Game looked amazing considering it was being played on the psp but difficulty, menu, battles, etc were very MEH.

No. Midgar felt empty, and boring. The design was awful. Combat was meh. Missions were lame. I honestly can't remember a scene from that game apart from
Cloud revealing himself
I was hugely disappointed to be honest.

Crisis Core was the best Final Fantasy game I've played. Probably because it's the only Final Fantasy game I've played.

I loved them both but Crisis Core just felt like a more dynamic experience and just felt like it completed the story that was told in VII. I'd say gameplay wise, yes Crisis Core is more accessible and a little more fun for those who do not dig the RPG genre yet want to experience FFVII. :)

FFVII (it was a decent game). As for Crisis Core I thought the gameplay was bad. The only reason I played through was to experience Zack Fair's story (but thanks to Nojima's writing it wasn't so good).

Hell no.. The game got extremely repetitive.. And the character had the emotional depth and maturity level of a 5 year old.. It was a good game, but with some serious flaws..

No. IMO, FFVII was average, but I found Crisis Core to be flat out terrible. Easy/repetitive gameplay, terrible writing, annoying DMW system, monotonous side-missions, etc. The only thing that I liked about CC is the soundtrack.

Wouldn't even begin to compare Crisis Core to FF7. Totally different experiences. CC has a mission based system that is highly repetative, boring button masher combat that happens to be way too easy to a point where it makes the vast majority of the materia system completely useless and poorly told filler storyline with forgetful characters. It's a lackluster spin off.

I'm not gonna lie... I have an urge to say CC is better because Zack>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Cloud, and I didn't hate Aeris in that game (Weird!!),but in all honesty FFVII became a classic for a reason, so of course it's better.

Certainly not better . It didn't have any depth like FF7 . Storywise, they don't link very good to each other . I loved the Zack meets Cloiud moment, the cutscenes and summons are beautiful . The end movie suddenly gets so much more emotion After playing the game,

Crisis Core is amazing and worth playing. But not quite as better than 7.

Maybe because its more ofnewer and recent release, it looks and sounds better which is a good thing.

The scenes in the game and the ending were beautiful.
Zackis surely one of the best Final Fantasy Characters. I liked how they portrayed him and it was a blast.

I liked the game and the game have flaws that I just cant see ANYONE like, sure you might be able to ignore it but I can't belive you support it

Crisis Core rocked!! I love both of them though. I can't choose!!! I still don't get why Square hasn't Released Crysis Core on the psn store yet... do they hate money? I guess the same reason that chrono chross, vagrant story (in the USA), musashi, mana, parasite eve 1 and 2, bushido blade, azure dreams , legend of leaia , legend of dragoon, etc.... are not on the store either.. Sometimes I think that they think if we buy the old ps1 games again we will be stuck playing these long rgps and not buy new games.. other than that it makes no freakn sense!

 No. FFVII was one of my favorite games...but CC was a straight up disappointment. Bland corridor levels, lame side missions, repetitive combat, stupid roulette leveling system, and lame filler characters like Genesis. Sure it had it's moments, but it was "meh" overall
