Anyone actually think the PS3's R2+L2 buttons are better than the 360 triggers?

I mean on the PS3, the R2+L2 buttons curve down so that your fingers slip off them all the time! That is sooo incredibly stupid! The 360 triggers curve up and are incredibly easy to grip onto and use!

Does everyone agree that this is a feature where the 360 is better than the PS3, or does anyone actually think that the PS3's L2+R2 buttons are better than the 360's triggers?

I agree.

But my opinion isn't really valid because I play with the 360 controller every day, whereas I only play with the DS3/Sixaxis when I play on someone else's Ps3.

No, my fingers fit the R2 and L2 triggers nicely.

Its actually the opposite for me. Im just getting used to the 360 controller though

i like the ps3 triggers for driving

i like 360's for shooters a smidge better

The 360 controller is better in every aspect with the exception of the crap digital pad, i realise they are fixing that issue but that doesn't do those of us that have already purchased all of our controllers we need a lot of good :(.

Yeah I think it was time for a change regarding the shoulder buttons. Kind of like how MS added two buttons to the shoulder from the previous Xbox for the XB360. I guess Sony and MS borrowed ideas from eachother.

Depends on the genre, but overall the 360 triggers are better.

edit: if someone wants 360 triggers shapes on the ps3 controller, they can easily buy an addon that costs like 4 dollars.

Like I said, it's an awful design choice. Good thing the rest of the controller is pretty good.

If they'd change that somehow and make concave analog sticks, I think the PS controller would be alot better than it currently is.

Little improvements can add up to alot.

I agree, asymmetrical analogue sticks with a concave top, and actual triggers or atleast a lip on the back of the trigger buttons would make the PS3 pad alot better.

That doesn't make sense.

Both controllers function well. I think the 360 triggers are a little better though. They seem to have a better degree of control for me. Especially for driving/racing games. You can control braking and acceleration better with the triggers.

Actually, it was a joke based on the fact that what you said doesn't make sense.

When you're playing games, you don't get a "point across." You get a point across in conversation.

That's why I asked if you play some kind of conversation simulator.

since i play the ps3 only for pes 2008 i hate the trigers ,i still play with my ps2 controller ,i cant stand the triggers,i think they are stupid ,give back the buttons plz,mkay

when you try to dribble with R2 its very frustrating with trigers.bring back the %$#@%@$#^ buttons you damn shooter producers or sth..give them a gun and give us a controller with BUTTONS thats all.

I think the triggers make the 360 controller immediately preferable for shooting/racing games. In the same vein, the PS3's D-Pad makes it the obvious choice for fighting games.

With the other genres, it's really a wash IMO or the differences are too negligible to care about.
