So, some flashback:
Though announced later on their respective days as multiplat, Bandai Namco and Eidos/Amazon announced remakes and remasters of games associated with Nintendo's rival, PlayStation: Klonoa Phantasy Reverie (Klonoa 1 and 2), Pac-Man World Re-Pac, and TR 1-3 remastered (yes, I know TR wasn't a PS game first, but like Konami's Solid Snake, Lara WAS largely associated with PlayStation).
And I can't help but find it a bit odd. Welcome for sure, but odd. At least Klonoa and Pac-Man make SENSE with Nintendo given Klonoa has two GBA games and a Wii game and Pac-Man... well, it's Pac-Man. Even Miyamoto worked on that franchise.
But Tomb Raider? The oddest. I know Nintendo consoles aren't completely alien to that franchise, but hardly anyone remembers the GB/GBC games, Legend (what got me into the franchise) was a late GameCube port, came out around the same time as Zelda: Twilight Princess... and the Wii for that matter and after the Wii with a horrid port of Underworld, the series has largely ignored Nintendo again until now.
You'd think State of Play would've picked the TR announcement, given that franchise inspired Uncharted. Nope, it's the audience spoiled by full analog controlled platformers and not tank controls.
Anyone else thought the same?
