Anyone else getting sick of all the mindless bashing?

I know I am. That's all I read here on SW anymore. It's all become uninspired bashing and whining full of nothing but spite, and the stupid thing is most of the bashing is complete ignorance. I'm talking about posters bashing games and/or systems with absolutely no real knowledge of what they are talking about.

I use to bash the PS3 a bit just like that out of sheer stupidity, mostly to get back at ridiculous fanboy dribble double talk and now I want a PS3. It's ok to vent your frustrations about something you know about, but for the sake of humanity please stop bashing things you know nothing about. I bet half the people here don't even own current gen systems or it's games but talk trash anyway.

If you try something and still don't like it then bash away because I, and other level minded people can understand and respect this. Otherwise, stfu about what you don't know.

it was at first when you thought if you layed ur reasoning and logic out clearly and completely some people would at-least agreeor acknowledge a good point and look at the issue with an open mind. but fanboys are relentlessly narrow-minded and stubborn. its to frustrating to get involved with this mess sometimes...nobody wants to waste their time. especially in a discussion.

not that i feel i'm right and mad they don't agree either. if they make a good point or make me feel like i'm wrong i'll conceed with no problem. but fanboys...a complete waste of time.

I don't think it is bad to bash a system for legitimate reasons but I do think some people on here go overboard. For example, I often "bash" the PS3 because I believe any system that has gains the majority of its sales because of its movie player ought to be bashed to the fullest extent. But I do have to give the PS3 credit for having a few awesome looking exclusives that are coming out within the next 2 years.

I think that what makes a true fanboy is if you refuse to acknowledge anything good about the other system(and every system has its pros) and you over-exaggerate all your systems high points. You also are a fanboy if youminimalizeyour system's problems to the point of plain denial. Fanboys are definatly annoying but I think overall it isn't fanboish to bash a system if bashing is justified(i.e. RRoD).

Its getting worse, partly because there is so much rehashed topics since anything new gets put into a sticky only thread by the mods, so basically all we will ever see here is the some old garbage over and over again. Everyone here has bashed something, I used to bash ps3 sometimes back when it wasn't doing so well, but still even then I had a well prepared logical opinion and I could make a logical comeback. Now people just make any old random thread just to see others responses. Basically most of the threads now come down to

"_____ is a flop"

"no its not!"

"yes it is"

"no its not"

yes... it is!"

"NO ITS NOT"

yes, but the thing is the 360 has grown to boast...again more great games are coming. the only thing the ps3 has is blue ray and a spike in sales for Jan. but we still get cows claiming ownage every month. it doesn't make sense. the 360 already has4 exclusives released this year and the ps3 only has a list of games that MIGHT come out on time and those 5 or 6 exclusives they released months ago. whats to brag about...whats to boast about?

haha! lol! its most 360 owners in SW of l8 IMO at the moment in which case perhaps thos with Wii's and PS3's have thought why defend when I can just play my prefferd console of choice now I dont mind any of the current systems as at some point I have wanted to purchase them all! altho certain reason have prevented such things.

Umm great games are coming to PS3 also dude. THey are coming this year such as RFOM2,LBP,MGS4,KZ2 and others that I cant remember. Just to let you know I dont even use the bluray player. I use my PS3 to game. Also you have to count the muiltplatform games that are coming. Dont be ignorant. PS3 has the right to brag to. i hear yah buddy, but the ps3 has a bad record of delaying games. thats why ur list isn;'t anything to anybody. most of those games were announced in 2005...it's 2008. you have the right to brag when u have the upper hand on someone or something(even though it's in bad taste). you say you have the system to game but there's barely any games coming out for it. if ur a gamer i'd think you'd have 360. steady stream games coming out for that system. i looked over the ps3 page and all i saw was some baseball games and a lame one coming out in the next couple months. multi-plats is your answer back...if u love games so much get a 360 and get the multi plats and new exclusives to feed that "gamer" inside you u say you have. thats not a gaming system at all...not yet.

After that I usually play Warhawk, then Halo 3, then Uncharted, then Mass Effect, then Unreal Tournament 3, then Crackdown etc...
