Anyone else getting tired of Final Fantasy?

Wasn't sure where to put this, but seeing as theres a Final Fantasy on or headed on all the current majot consoles and heandhelds I thought I'd put it here.

So anyone else tired of the Final Fantasy spam from Square?

I can maybeunderstand the cannon series, but do we really need all the off shoots, remakes and side stories? I'm getting tired of it. I'm not evev going to get XIII.

Sure, it's a nice RPG series(well... most of it's RPG anyway), but it just really gets aold.

You always know theres going to be huge swords, dudes that look like chicks, white hairded dude, some story where the characters go up against some evil governements or releigion, a scene where they think they killed the bad guy but he shows up again, magic, air ships, cid.... It's getting really stale.

Yes, that to. I'd be happy if they only gave us the platformers and the kart racers. Leave the sports to a new series or somthing.

I agree. The series is relic and hasn't really improved gameplay wise.Arnalion

RPGs can be fun. It's a bit morerelaxed and it's more about strategy than just running up to somthing and button mashing it to death. But I can understand why you don't like em. Strategy games bore me to sleep, litterally.

Again, the stories are never that different. And not every change is welcome. I know alot of people who didn't take so kindly to the changes in XII, XI or VIII. And DO I even need to bring up the side stories and off shoots?

Oh, and the boring bit is a matter of opinion. I myself have literally fallen asleep while playing Final Fantasy tactics.

Super Mario Strikers Charged is amazingly fun, especially when playing multiplayer. The sport games aren't bad.

Well, I'm just sharing my opinion...just like you are. The millions that are making Final Fantasy the top selling JRPG series in the world would agree with me too.

I know the stories aren't that different, I've play 1-10 and 12.

And the last six cannon Final Fantasy games save for XI were exactly that in a nut shell.

And like I said, the main characters are fighting off either an evil goverment or a religion. In my first post I presented numerous similarities that are carried over from each.

i for a fact havent seen one emo dude in the main FF series. Excluding the guy in my sig. AKA Cloud isnt emo in the game just in the movie which doesnt count as a videogameNuclearFreedom

But I'd have to say that Squall and Vincent were pretty emo.

It's absurd. What happened to each game being completely self contained?

and it's getting worse. At least with 7 and 10, they waited a while before expanding the universe. But they announced 3 FFXIII gamestogether.

Then they go a release FFI and II as seperate PSP games. Who in their right mind would buy them? FFOrigins is cheaper than 1 of the psp games, and that has both of them on it.

but they shouldn't be doing it at all. Just make 1 game, and then give us a new story for the next insallment. Stop with the remakes and spinoffs.

Yes, and despite that it ruined VII. The characters were not super human in the games.The moviebassically took a dose of Dragon Ball Z and Panic at the disco. Three things that should NEVER mix.

Didn't ruin anything, the movie was more gamelike if anything, they threw a lot of absurds yes, but you didn't expect them to be taking turns in the movie, right? Or being weak.

I'm not, Every FF game is different, it has different characters, its set in a different world (not always tho) and has a different stort line. When they keep mixing things up for each new game its kinda impossible to get tired of it.MGS9150

It's Technically different, yes. But bassically, it's not.

It'd be more acceptable if those absurd turns were at least explainable.

I liked the movie. It was brief but I can sortof understand why Cloud was like that.

Sure, you saved the world, but the person you should have saved had died. Cloud clearly didn't get over it in the game. I kind of wish they'd make a game based on the 2 years between + the events in AC but everyone would just say "milking" which is annoying.
