Anyone else more impressed with Microsoft than Sony lately?

They aren't offering anything very exciting very soon, so no. To be fair, the only thing Sony is offering very soon is Demon's souls as well.

Both as gaming companies only have "new" things coming next year really. The entire console generation should have been pushed back.

You know what? I fully expect ps5 to outsell xsx...too many are engrained into the ecosystem to leave Sony behind....but for those who are jumping on the xbox train - or never left - the compensation for missing out on Sony's first party offerings is getting better by the day, and the decision to buy a ps5 based on some as yet unknown games is frankly puzzling, especially when it's bigger, weaker and more expensive as it is in most countries.

I just hope there is more balance this gen. Competition is always great.

Not impressed at all ... this recent move was very interesting, but overall this has been the weakest "new gen" i've seen, and i'm talking about MS as well as Sony and Nintendo.

Yes, I've been more impressed with MS than SONY for the past two years. That said, I am still going into next gen with PS5 leading the way and XSX being my 2nd console to buy. As a purely console company (hardware and services) yes. The new offerings are better thought out.

As a company to actually play games with, not really. They've bought a bunch of studios, but I need to see what will materialize from that first. For the time being, the best I can say is they show a strong effort there that could surpass Sony in a few years when it bears fruit. But color me skeptical

The news about the buy out surprised me, but not in the sense you people think, i think with every step ms takes is a step away from the xbox and more toward software and services which has always been its strong point on PC hardware was never their bread and butter.

I know for fact and you can save this one, when the xbox is gone gamepass will be here and MS would probably move with then all those xbox lovers either to PC or to other consoles were the service is, netflix is huge because it plays on everything even on PS when sony had its own movie thing i think MS will do the same.

i get xbox will have better games this gen and more of them but not until 2022. I will have fable but until then i will sit and defend sony because there ready to give me the games i want in 2020 and 2021. all the way to the end of the ps5 life cycle just like the ps4.

never said miles was a expansion its a stand alone game for 50 bucks like the uncharted lost odyssey.

reason the old controller is not going to work is because there taking full advantage of the features which is a could sign to me because we know what it likes to have features that no one uses. (ps3 sixasis)

fact is xbox just does not have big first party games until 2022. but if you think about it sony is supporting last gen more. because there still big titles like miles and hzd2 coming to ps4. were xbox first party big games that are 2022 are all series x games. halo might get dropped from xbox one we don't know yet.
