Anyone else sick to death of Call of Duty?

This will be the 4th year in a row a CoD game has been released. I, frankly, am over the series and it should be put to bed for a while.

that will be hard cause i will be nose deep in GT5 and im away for a weekend up north to see cancer bats.Oh and the fact cod = meh 4 was the last good one least people still have the sense to play it online.

i'm not but i don't play it online i just blow through the campaign and go on to the next game.

I get annoyed that I can't log into Xbox Live without someone sending me a request to play it...even when I am on the PC version of Live.

i wouldn't mind renting Black Ops

but this fall i'd rather not buy it, i've got other games to play

if i had to buy an fps this fall it'd be either Rage or Halo: Reach or maybe Crysis 2

suffice to say i haven't really had any fun with COD MP since COD4

An 'edge' in CoD Multiplayer? Read a website the lastest meta gaming tactics and you are fine. Nothing in CoD is about building up any skill, except maybe watching the what's in front of you and the map really fast.

yes i am a bit... the only fps titles am looking forward to are Killzone 3 & Halo Reach... am also keeping any eye on MOH...

I don't care for many FPS games nowadays.

What I do though, and this is top secret, is I don't buy them.

Yep, which is why this person wanting to buy the CoD games to maintain his 'edge'... seems like bad logic. Considering there is no 'edge' to maintain, play any shooter if you want to keep reaction time up.

this is why I see MOH surpassing COD..

I am so I stopped playing like 6 months ago. I'm sick of everyone on my friends list playing though. I deleted about 15 people from my list that only play MW2

I miss the community of Modern Warfare 1. Ever since that awful excuse for a game call MW2 came out, there hasn't been much to play. thepoop7

I dislike the fact that they release every year, but mostly because they stop supporting the older titles. COD4 is a game populated by hackers and glitchers. WaW isn't too bad, but it also runs like crap online.

They also don't improve the online component, in fact each subsequent release is laggier than the game before it, which isn't a good thing at all. Otherwise, the fact that they release one every year isn't too bad because they alternate devs, so it's really a two year dev cycle per game, although the quality of them is more akin to a 2 month reskin job really.

No I still like them... to this day i still play COD4 on the PC, though i only started playing it 7 months ago. And they dont really play the same, theres little things here and there that only players who play the games a lot will notice.

I don't play COD so naa.. I'll actually buy a used version of Black Ops just to play with some friends though.:)

I've been sick of Call of Duty since....well since Call of Duty. I haven't been impressed by any of them.

I can still play the multiplayer sometimes and am excited for black ops but I would rather kill myself rather than play another boring stock COD singleplayer campaign

Except each Halo game was unique with 100% love and care from Bungie/ES instead of cash-ins ala Mw2.

I'm not sick at all of COD at all actually cause i don't waste time on it. I just got a few trophies in single player and NEVER touched the multi.
