Anyone Else Think Saints Row 2 Has the Potential To Be Better Than GTA4 ?

Saints Row was such an awesome first-attempt, imo they really outdid themselves, they also bought some new features to the genre.

As much as I'm looking forward to GTA, I'm beginning to think that Saints Row 2 will be the one to deliver the goods.

Long Answer: Hell No

Saints row was kinda fun, but honestly it was a bunch of wannabe gangster trash story wise, and the voice acting was laughable. GTA IV has alot more serious feel, good voice acting and an authentic feel to it.

It might happen. GTA4 is however looking to turn out GREAT! so they really have to up themselves. To be honest I greatly prefered SR over GTA:SA, that game was just a bore for me.Krisgebis

I agree, I found San Andreas to be completely banal.

i think that rockstar just has a lot more resources to bring to the table in the sandbox game dept. I don't wanna be a jerk but i highly doubt that saints row 2 would stand a chance in comparision.whodeysay85

Saints Row was very well recieved and introduced character customisation to sandbox games - although a small feature, it's very good and incredibly versatile.

Saint's Row also had great radio stations, great physics, combat was awesome and functional, combat from moving vehicles was even more amusing. Small things like flying out of the window screen when you hit something at fast speeds, bodies hanging from the vehicle after they'd been run over, change flying out of parking meters, holding up shops.. it was great.

I think at the very least it will be comparable.

Hey, you are in no way being a jerk. You stated your opinion (which the TC was asking for) and you gave a good reason why you think so. I would agree with you, but still think there is a chance (which you are not discarding altogether also).

Most people prefer GTA to Saints Row and I find it understandable, but I really liked the first SR.
