Anyone else think that its totally possable for Gears 2 to come to PS3?

I really think that its entirely possible for Gears 2 to come to the PS3. Think about it- M$ doesn't own Epic, and Epic makes Unreal Tournament for PS3. Thus, they make PS3 games. Why wouldn't they want more money, and sell Gears 2 on the PS3 as well? I would. It's simple economics. I think that its totally possibel for Gears 2 to come to PS3- it just might be a timed release (i.e. not in 2008). Fart_Storm

no.the PS3 isnt powerful enough to run it. it requires the power of the 360 to run it. not even the best PCs on the planet could run gears 2

seriously it depends on what contract they have with MS and how willing they are to let it go. as far as i know....and im pretty grey on this....epic own the gears IP but because MS are publishing them, gears 1 and 2 essentially belong to MS. gears 3 might come to the PS3 if epic decide to get another publisher.

Gears of War 1 & 2 are published by Microsoft, so no way. Gears of War 3 on the other hand is possible. But knowing how deep Microsofts pockets are, I could see them working out another contract with Epic.

Just joking around no hard feelings lol but in all seriousness this is a Microsoft Published title so it has 0% chance of coming out on PS3.

Unlike Sony Microsoft compensates devs to keep their games exclusive or off of the Playstation 3/Wii. That is the economic part about it. MS has in all likelyness given them financial insentive to keep the game on 360 and not on PS3. Given the sales of the 1st game Epic probably is in a very good position.

MS and Epic would both need to agree, I doubt Epic would even need to, and I am sure MS wouldn't do it.

Its not impossible, but its impossible logically. The 360 losing Gears is way worse than PS3 losing FFXIII. I mean originally the 360 is a shooters platform, losing one of its two blockbuster shooters is a severe blow. MS Has a very strict contract with the gears franchise, at the most theres a very small chance that gears 3 will go multiplat if MS doesnt act on it.

I never made that claim nor do I necessarily feel there's a correlation on the performance of the sequels based on the first games?
