Anyone excited for COD:WAW

With all the hype around Resistance 2, and GEOW 2 what about COD: WAW?

I think this might be a great shooter for this year, though I am still skeptical on the world war thing... I already have my copy pre ordered and will be picking it up when it comes out.

Anyway, there are better FPSs coming out this year, and I'm sure Call of Duty: World at War will be overshadowed by the likes of Left 4 Dead, Resistance 2, Crysis Warhead, Far Cry 2, Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway, STALKER: Clear Sky, and such.

After the glitchy mess COD3 was, and the fact that the beta is glitch city as well, i dont really trust treyarch as a good developer. I'll wait till its 40$ to pick it up, definitely not worth 60 of my dollars.yayyfood

At first taste of the beta, not so much, but now i am.

Bet holy hell i had to fix 3 problems to get it to run on my pc, which is relatively new.

Yea i know...oh well, ill be too busy with Gears 2 anyways :D and either way i think theres one person i know thats gonna buy it sooo its not like im going to be missing out on a lot.

No, the beta got boring after 10 hrs.

Treyarch is to Infinity Ward as Pepsi is to Coke. It just ain't as good as the king of that franchise. After COD3, I refuse to even PLAY anything that has 'Call of Duty' and 'Treyarch' on the same cover.

I've been playing the beta and it's decent. I think some of the new perks will be interesting, and I gotta say I think I like the maps better. They're much bigger, but not to the point that it feels like you can run around aimlessly for minutes at a time without seeing anyone. It definitely borrows heavily from COD4 though, pretty much everything I hated (which isn't much) about 4 is back in 5. Like getting knifed, watching the kill cam and seeing that you weren't even in front of the guy when he knifed you). The bigger maps have also pretty much put an end to random nading which drove me nuts in 4.

All in all I'm not sure if I'm going to grab the game or not, I'm very on the fence.
