Anyone looking foward to Saints Row 2??

We already know it won't even be in GTA4 league but still

its looking like its gonna be a great game

I'm def gonna try it out ill be done with gta4 main story by august so im looking foward to saints row 2

again saints row was a great game, didnt have the best story but it was still enjoyable.

the only thing they need to get rid of is doing side quests to be able to do missions that was just plain stupid.

Im really looking forward to it.

I have GTA4 and i love it to bits! however, although many are going to disagree with me, i dont think they should of gone with the more realistic approach ( no tanks, planes, jetpacks and bicycles etc ). With gta4 i miss the good old fun you could have with games like san andreas and vice city. Being able to have a jetpack as well as take over businesses in vice city made gta what it is today! A super fun free roaming do whatever you please game. Going more realistic is slowly drifiting towards the getaway, and we all know how that compared with GTA.

SO hopefuly saints row's fun gameplay which sounds similar to the last gen gta's will be really good fun.

Its different from GTA...this one is gonna offer the over the top, totally customizable game....

I loved making my own character...

Plus i didnt think the story was that bad after I finished it and everything all came together as a "wtf wow" moment...

They should really delay this game till next year and do alot more to it (copy things from GTA IV)... Once the GTA IV frenzy is just about over.

I think they are trying to ride the GTA IV wave and it's going to bite them.

I am. I can't wait to experience all the redonkalous moments in Saint's Row 2. Shock paddles and tasers!?! I got to get my hands on those! There's a large hand full of people that said they didn't play GTA for its story, they played it for all the things you could do in an open world. So I'm looking forward in doing all those crazy things over the top things in Saint's Row 2, I can careless if it doesn't have an Oscar worthy story. Just give me endless diverse things to do, and I'm happy with it. Bring it on!

Also I think people will associate Saint's Row 2 with the Xbox 360, since that was it's birthplace.

I've completely lost interest for this game after playing GTA4, I'd played the first one, it was fun, I thought it is going to be a big competition for GTA 4 because I didn't experience a next gen GTA, now I don't even care about it anymore, Im more exited for better looking games, Prototype, Mafia 2 and Just cause 2.

No. There is no way it will be anywhere near as good as GTA4.

The only real reason I bought Saints Row was as a stopgap, an open world game that would hold me over until GTA 4 came out. I don't have that reason anymore.

Don't get me wrong, Saints Row was a great game and I believe Saints Row 2 will be even better, but I don't see it knocking it out of the park and thus, will just seem weak in comparison to GTA 4.

That's what I liked about it. It was a prettier GTA with a fun physics system (Havoc?).

I'm sure I'll get Saints Row 2 when it's bargain bin.

GTA has a certain feel to it that Saints Row never had (Rockstars doing), but it was still an amazingly good game that was fun to play and offered a next-gen GTAish experience that I still go back to from time to time.

After playing GTA IV though, I think it's safe to say that Saints Row 2 is gonna have a hard time to reach the same level.
Then again, the devs of SR could use the oppertunity to take stuff from GTA IV just as Rockstar took stuff from the original Saints Row, and make it even better.

Sort of, but I'm more looking forward to Mafia 2. The first Mafia was awesome on the PC, and this one looks really cool as well.

Not anymore after getting GTAIV...if I do get it I wont play it.
