I know I sure do... There is not half as many arcades around anymore. There are some still around but nowhere near like it was in the late 80's early 90's. The only recent game that has brought it back to life was DDR and that is dwindling off by just faithful players.

a quarter for 1-5 minutes of gameplay. Having to go out of my home just to play a few games. Little kids running around screaming. No thanks, I don't miss arcades.

I haven't seen a good game in an arcade for a while. It's all crappy racers. A few i've been to have Time Crisis and House of the Dead, but the only fighter I've seen since the 90's was Tekken :(

I miss it. nothing like playing mortal kombat/tekken/street fighter and have everyone watch you play and vice versa. back then, the only time i played console games was for practice.

I miss it a lot. Pinball especially. There was an arcade up the street from my college dorm back in the mid-90's that had 7 or 8 awesome tables I would play frequently. Twilight Zone pinball rules all games. The arcade had a lot of regular arcade games also that I played. i remember it was the first place I played Soul Edge.

Sadly, I drove through my college town a few years after I left to find that it had been shut down for a while.

Yeah I miss the arcades but I spent way too much money on it and I just prefer home console a whole lot more. I did start gaming in the arcades and it still holds a special place in my heart.

A good place to find pinball machines if you are taking a roadtrip is a truck stop. I played a brand new Spiderman3 pinball there and it was a good one. Some old Pizza Huts still carry pinball games but they don't really keep them in good repair and that's the main problem.

There is an arcade near me, but it is in no way like the arcades of old. Most of the games cost $1 or more to play because they are these racing sim types or overhyped shooters. I miss the days of going to the mall and stopping into an arcade full of Pac-man, Galaga, Joust, Tron, etc. Great times...

I like the atmosphere in the arcades, the fighting games were always more competitive. However they are too expensive, owners get gready and never replace or rotate the selection of cabinets.

Saddly it's dying off slowly in Japan too, arcades used to have the best graphics but now there's no way they can compete with consoles or even mid-low level PC hardware.
