Not me. Capcom really took notes from Activision's COD and tried to turn Resident Evil into another shooting gallery and Capcom was trying to make a quickie bucks.
Sorry but Resident Evil 6 totally sucks and if had Capcom totally revamp RE6, I would have given them a second chance.
Have they finally run out of games to milk that they're now releasing 'HD' versions of last gen games?
No, I actually enjoyed the game very much on the 360 last gen and finished it multiple times. It's still very fresh in my memory, no need to get the remaster anytime soon, if ever.
@HalcyonScarlet: Capcom are pretty fucking pathetic. You just wait until they start releasing HD 2.0 versions when PS4k comes out...
The only one iñ the series i have not touched since my first resi back in 97. I think it will stop that way.
Depends on whether they made meaningful changes.
I for one liked it last gen but it had its issues, many which most of the RE6 critics aren't aware of since all they did was regurgitate the same bullshit as everyone else that never played it.
Anyhow, first thing that bugged me about the game when I played it was the force walk sections, hopefully they fixed that. Second was context sensitive QTE moments like when an enemy grapples with you and you have to shake the stick real hard to shake them off, it doesn't seem to matter in old game if you vigorously shook immediately or moderately shook at a leisurely pace, you'll loose an equally sizable chunk of health all the same, they need to fix this and make damage proportional to the responsiveness and intensiveness of you're reaction but not be so brutal about it either. Get rid of QTEs in cutscenes that are just kind of mindlessly there to keep player from leaving the room to take a piss in the middle of them. The game lacked an overall sense of polish and was very graphically glitchy all around, needs ironing out. Have a functional online mode for co-op and invasion and they're closer to making a better game.
Did they make any major changes?
EDIT: watching some Twitch videos... thinking I might just get it, I liked it last gen, it's only $20 now
Do you enjoy the worst the series has ever offered? RE6 is as bad as it gets.
RER2 is clearly a worse game and it blows my mind the free pass that boring piece of shit gets. RE6 may be a flawed game but it's a much more engaging one.
Resident Evil 6 is awful! Some of the worst game designs I've ever seen. Horrible level design, getting killed from some random set piece you can't even see coming. Bad controls, terrible QTEs. Downgraded graphics from RE5, boring and uninspired. One of the worst games of last gen.

No, RE6 isn't simply flawed. Its the bottom of the barrel even when compared to bad games.

Unfortunately, all of this is true.
I would give them a little credit for having some ambition in making 3 separate intertwined campaigns, the idea was cool. But the execution was just absolutely abysmal. I know lots of people hate on RE5, but that game was a decent iteration on the RE4 gameplay. RE6 went backwards in pretty much every coinceivable way, but most notably with the level layouts and overall game design. It was mind bogglingly bad.
Of course RE always had it's game design and control flaws, but with RE6 it didn't have any "Japanese game design charm" that the old school games had going for them. Instead, it played like a western TPS action game, and when we start comparing it to that genre it was pretty much just a broken turd.
*I played it a long time ago and thought it was awful but then played the HD version and thought wow what was wrong with my brain that I thought it was awful back then?
*potential lie
I don't understand calling these types of Remasters "HD".
Was Last generation HD or not? I guess a lot of people just forgot.
@2Chalupas: You nailed it. They tried taking on too much and failed miserably. All 3 different campaigns were just awful. I forgot to mention how bad and clunky the controls were. Dear Lord lol. I also agree RE5 was miles and miles better. I actually really liked it, and plan on picking up the re release if it has all the DLC like RE6 does. But yeah what a giant step back in every direction. I remember being stuck on a certain QTE on a plane because it didn't even explain what to do. I pressed the buttons but nothing happened, and kept dying. Sheesh I could go on and on lol, waste of 60 bucks for sure.

FHD?
@HalcyonScarlet: Don't see the problem, many didn't get to play them and PC gamers are still waiting for Code Veronica.
Resident Evil 6's biggest problem was that it was too ambitious. It tried to be the ultimate modern Resident Evil game - part RE4, part RE5, and part...uh, God Hand?
It didn't quite pull it off, with some segments being less polished than others. Still, it's a damn fine game, perfectly playable, and loaded with heaps of content.
And no, it isn't COD, and it isn't full of QTEs. Chris' sections do often have a military shooter feel, but that's about 1/4th of the game. The QTEs are better than RE4s.
