Anyone still not impressed with todays graphics

Do any of you feel like this, I own both systems and I have a 4850HD in my computer and I am still dissapointed, I dont know why maybe crysis made me feel like this, I have GeoW GTP5 uncharted and MGS, the only one that impressed me was Uncharted when i was next to that german uboat i thought that looked amazing, maybe I am too much of a graphicwhore its just weird, maybe I get satisfied in 2015 or something.

No, PC will always be ahead graphically. The PC also doesn't get all those great Console games.

So, you want to play Console Games, you have to accept they won't all look like Crysis, and future graphics pushing games.

Your Standards are just too high. You may want to start playing for Fun since the graphics bar for you is ruining your experience.

For our time I am more than impressed. I mean, when I first played GRAW way back on the 360, I couldn't believe it. Then gears came out.

And GT5 is the mother of graphix. you need to see a doctor and get your eyes checked. Otherwise, then yeah, you won't be satisfied until 2015.

I get impressed in terms of how games age, so I can't be impressed with a game today unless it ages well. Like I was playing MGS today and it impressed me, it's 10 years old and it still looks nice. And I think PGR2 looks more impressive than most racers today for some reason.

WOW! My goodness, I remember those! Sweet Flashback....I take it you got a Wii then!

I was playing through REmake again last week on the GC and the graphics still impressed the hell out out of me.

So yeah, not only am I impressed with today's graphics, I'm also impressed with some of yesterday's graphics.

As far as consoles go I have been impressed by.

Oblivion at launch (PC ver looks buttloads better), Gears of War, Bioshock, Uncharted, Gran Turismo 5 Pro, Call of Duty 4 due to its great (yet not amazing detail) but its SILKY smooth framerate, and thats it.

I'm dissapointed with a few PS3 games as far as graphics go. For instance MGS4's charecter models are amazing but they failed to get every enviroment to look as good as the Middle East and Shadow Moses. The other 3 enviroments look pretty subpar in comparision.

SOCOM C, is pretty dissapointing graphically. To me it looks like a smoothed out Xbox 1 title. But oh well if they put in d-pad leaning I will forgive the visuals.

Was playing God of War II. Graphics are still stunning for OldStation 2. I think that system and Snake should call it quits lol. Just kidding.

I'm with you there. I'm still amazed by FFXII, FFX, Fable, The Wind Waker, ICO, MGS3, etc. Many of those games have terrific art direction, so that's helpful but graphics were great then.

Now, they still amaze me. From Uncharted's animations to the openness that is Oblivion; Assassin's Creed cities to Halo 3's explosions, Kameo and Overlord, UT3 and Ratchet, I'm just looking at games in my room and I've been amazed by every game in erms of graphics. There is nothing to be disappointed with really.

I guess your standards are just too high... of course I didn't play Crysis so that might be my saving grace as to why I find all these games good looking. :P

I don't know about anyone else. But personally I'm still impressed with these graphics.

Well Uncharted looked really nice, and I am playing all these games on a panasonic 1080p 42inch plasma with HDMI, I dont know maybe that guy is right I need my eyes checked or something.deniiiii21

How can someone be unimpressed with this? Seriously, games this gen look downright stellar!

Well those pics are CGI I think gen after this we will see people looking like that in a gameplay type situations not videos and intros.

I don't know about anyone else. But personally I'm still impressed with these graphics.

Honestly I think there are a lot of really impressive looking games this gen even after playing Crysis on very high. Crysis looks technically great but there are a lot of games I prefer the look of.

Heck Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong Country 2 still impress me after all these years :)
