After the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii,

I don't think I ever want to buy another console agian. The Gen after this one.

After gaming for more then 15-16 years I've become so jaded.

I instantly critized every game I rent or buy to no end.

Most of the time I'm not even having fun. I'm just looking at the graphics or analying the gameplay mechanics.

I'm not calling it quits after this gen. My other big hobby is golf which is far more expenisive and exponentially more frustrating.

I think you're taking games a bit too seriously.

I think I'll be done with consoles after this generation. Maybe some light stuff on the PC, but that's about it. Between law school in two years and working to afford it, I won't have the time to play much anymore

Uh...no.

From the looks of things, you take games to seriously or you let System Wars affect your better judgement. Either way, you need to relax. Gaming isn't supposed to be about debates and constant criticism (stuff that goes on all the time here). It's about having fun. As long as fun is the focal point of gaming, I don't think I'll ever stop buying them.

I will admit when I was younger I used to game all the time and as of now I don't game as much anymore. Reasons why are as follows.

  • As a kid you have no responcibilities
  • Parents bought you everything
  • You didn't have to manage your money
  • Chicks take up time
  • Being able to drive lets you do other things

When you were little all you could do was play outside or play video games. But now you can go to the club, go the bar, go party ect. I don't think I'll ever lose interest in gaming but I've found myself not buying games a lot recently. The last new release I ever bought over the last two years was Madden games. I typically wait it out because I have no desire to play a game immediately anymore.

Right now I'm playing Guilty Gear X2 Reloaded. I venture into the past more then I play my next gen Wii or 360. Who knows what the future will hold. I don't ever see myself leaving gaming. I just me not having the time or other things consuming my time.

Dont quit gaming. Just take it less seriously, like a hobby. Come on, in 15 years it has gone from 8-bit side scrolling 20 minutes adventures. To games like Gears of War, Zelda, Final Fantasy. We've entered a new age of motion sensing now. KEEP WITH IT!

Either something's wrong with me or I'm just insensitive, because I didn't even come CLOSE to crying in that game.

My goodness lol - to me, this is the best gen thus far ! Free Demo's, DLC, XBLA and it only gets better. Maybe you just want to go backwards and that's not where gaming is going.

I have never been happier withmy game hobby as I am right now ! :)
