Anyone thought that console sales also depends whether it is hackable or not?

I've just wondered that when I saw that the xbox 360 and wii are crushing the PS3. Both of these consoles are hackable because where I live they consider paying more than a dollar on a game stupid.

The only console that cannot be hacked is the PS3. Since they lowered the price and it has a good game lineup this year, I dunno why it isn't good as its competitors. THIS lead to think that console sales MAY depend on it is software hacking (making it play pirated games)

Anyone think the way I think?

Maybe the gamers didn't give DC a proper chance but hey my idea is just a theory :D

Hackable systems are mostly factors for 3rd world countries.

Where I live we have something around 89% of all ps2 as modified.

Then again everything here costs 100% more than the states - electronics in particulary.

In the end it's a matter of perferences.

and Euopeans and japanese people buying PS3, NOT because its a better games console but that its due to PS2 brand loyalty, is nothing to be proud of.

If PS3 is doing **** today, then how would you say the 360 is doing? And compared to the Wii, yea both PS3/360 are doing bad, i dont think anyone would disagree.

lol i thought it was common knowledge that they are hackable. Most of the ppl i know who have 360s are hacked. The others don't want to void their warranty if their console dies. Of course, I don't tell them of the hardware issues. Serves them right for trying to pirate stuff.

Theyd like you to THINK they do, but they dont. Theyve baned, what, 50,000 consoles?

Madden 09 has already been downloaded over 900,000 times.
