Anyone who thinks Nintendo ISN'T going to win is deluded

They're dominating in all territories... and after 7 months are still sold out everywhere.... if it were a fad it would have been over after the Christmas rush... all of this and its big selling titles haven even arrived yet:  

What happens when Mario Galaxy, MP3, SSBB, Brainage, Nintendogs, Wii Health, and Pokemon arrive?

These are first party Nintendo games. They dont flop.

To me, the winners are the companies moving gaming technology forward. Winners are the companies giving me the capabilities to play cutting edge games with great visuals and sweet gameplay elements. Winners are the companies inviting the third party companies in, not turning them down. 

I don't care about sales. And right now, my winners are Microsoft, Sony, Intel, ATI and Nvidia. Love the Wiimote, but so far, Nintendo isn't winning ME over, yet...

As soon as everyone realizes that the current line of Wii games represents all that there is to come in the future and that those great titles that everyone bought the Wii to wait for aren't coming, it will quickly stop selling.  A large section of the market will not like to own a console that offers only the same old Nintendo games and that section happens to largest.  Sure it is selling now, but when prices drop for the 360 and PS3, the Wii will be left in the dust.  I like Nintendo, but constant sequels and variations of the same old games gets tiring. 

I think when its all sad and done the lack of good games will send wii to second place maybe third Norg

Can't really disagree with that statement. But the reality is, all three companies are going to 'win'. No new competition equals a lot of revenue for everyone.

It was a great game, but Nintendo doesn't get a free pass. It flopped. Just like Resistance. Just like Motorstorm. Just like Crackdown.

How many different Mario games must we go through before they are not fun anymore?  Sequels are good, but when your console is riding on games that no one cares about anymore except little kids and die hard fans that my friend is when your console crashes and burns.  Microsoft and Sony are trying to appeal to the larges market of gamers which is young adults to adults where as Nintendo says they are targeting everyone, yet the games show differently.  Face it, Nintendo is marketing towards kids and seniors which is why their console will fail.

The generation is 4-5 years long and the Wii is not in the lead yet and only has a 3 million unit lead over the PS3 at this point in time. Last gen around 150 million consoles were sold, so a 3 million unit lead is nothing in a race that long. When GTA 4 comes out I expect both the PS3 and 360 to start picking up in sales. Idonomeus
