I know there's already a thread on Wasteland 2 but this thread is about a whole bunch of other games as well.
Of course, I'm going to emphasise it here first. I'm not overly interested in indies. However, Wasteland 2 excites me greatly, because this is the kind of a game I've been craving and raving about on consoles. I've wanted it on all consoles, period, but it looks like Phil Spencer stroke a deal with inXile.
Anyway, apart from it, Xbone's getting quite a few indies, some of them are coming late to the party after being released on other platforms. Some of them will appear only on Xbone apart from PC.
What is most interesting, The Flame in the Flood was supposed to come out on PS4 if the stretch goal on Kickstarter was reached, but it wasn't, and now it's coming to the Xbone, but so far no word on the PS4 version.
Overall, even if I'm not that keen on indies, but I think Phil Spencer has delivered on the games front again and I want to emphasise it once more: he's not a shooter fan, and he likes creativity and diversity first. This is a sign of things to come. Some of the previously unreleased games, like beloved Shovel Knight will somewhat nullify the void in indies for the platform - however it's a long way ahead of Xbone in this respect - and of course Wasteland 2 is a massive coup. I thought nothing interesting would materialize from it and it wasn't even a blip on my radar, but Spencer somehow managed to make a thing out of it. What are your thoughts?
P.S. Before someone will accuse me of hypocrisy of hyping indies on Xbone (look, I'm hyping only Wasteland 2) and bashing them on PS4 (which I'm not doing - I'm only fed up with most of them regardless of platform), I want to highlight once more that Wasteland 2 is exactly this kind of indie game that consoles have been severly lacking, and despite having an indie status, for me it's a MAJOR one, and if you've really followed me as a poster you would even know that I specifically created a thread about Wasteland 2 on consoles, so at least try to be consistent in your judgement.
