looks cool. but only being able to use touch screen and tilt seems like a pain to me. especially if you have fat fingers, lol. needs buttons or a d pad or something so youre finger wont be in the way of the screen all the time. other than that the graphics are pretty damn good and they have a ton of games.

One of the positive things about the DS is the lack of graphics power, it makes the games look better (to me, 2D sprites rock) and smaller devs go to it.

i love my iphone even tho i text on it more then play games but still its awesome and theres so much to do with it its a handheld mp3 player and phone in 1 for 300 dollars i dont have a prob with that.

The lack of buttons really kill any gaming "vibe" that it's trying to deliver. I'll stick with my DS.

I disagree. Portability does not make a game better. It just makes a game more portable. I find playing games on handhelds on the go to be incredibly inconvinient. I generally can't spend very long and it feels like I'm dragging along something that wasn't meant to be used.

Many games benefit from the fact that they can't be played on the go; that you have to sit down and devote time to playing them. Games that want to tell a story for example benefit from the visuals on consoles and the fact they can be played on a large screen TV. And for games that have great soundtracks, its really better to listen to them from a media center of sorts.

I would hate to witness FFXIII in handheld form. It's really better for it to be on an HDTV.

Am I the only person who thinks that people playing on handhelds in public look like jackasses doing it? I never want to be caught doing that. Handhelds are only good for me if I'm going to stay somewhere for a considerable amount of time (like someone's house or a hotel) but don't want to bring a console with me.

For games that want to tell stories it's a huge deal. For games that want to immerse you it's a huge deal.
